The retriever prices have already jumped up about 30% this week. I have not been watching the rest.
Mostly because I am working on skills to get into a retriever and I am a few days away yet.
And watching prices climb fast. And the blue print prices jumped as well.

probably more to do with mineral prices rising than anything else.

<3 t1 ship speculators, thanks for the ISK.

(And no, the retriever jump isn't based solely on mineral increases. In fact, the mineral prices to build one have barely bumped recently.)

Marketeers always want to poke fun at industrialists, and say we get the short end of the stick while they get all the money. But I'm making a killing filling out orders of bad speculation. Being an industrialist doesn't mean you can't work the market like anyone else. Actually, in many ways it becomes easier, and your investment values are dictated solely by mineral costs.

On the day the patch notes came out, someone bought up ALL market volume in Jita. I quickly produced 100 retrievers and 50 procurers and tossed them on the buy orders with something like 200-400% profit.

It is like any "gold rush" the ones making the money are the outfiters, not the prospectors or miners.Big smile

Procurer prices have already doubled.

The price is high enough to sell for profit(most stock was bought at 3.5M)
Procurers can be made - which means any shlob can buy 5 BPO's and start producing, even without research, and still make rediculous profits.

Because BPO's aren't wasted, you can sell the BPO later and return your investment.
If the people who bought up all the procurers wait any longer the market will get flooded, sooner than later, with alot of procurers.

To make a profit- act now. don't wait on the post-patch speculation to increase it, because this is a manufacturable item. it takes some small starting capital and an empty production slot to screw up the price rise.
hell even at 3.5M it was terribly over priced, that was pre-patch.

The demand for procurers existed way before the patch, in form of invention. To say that post-patch you'll see a huge spike in demand is a strong assumption. and as stated, supply can catch up. i bet there are plenty of people building procurers right now and waiting for the right time to sell.

in my opinion that time is now, because post-patch everyone is going to crash the market.
