there doesnt need to be any bar at all , i would really prefer the boxes with the ew info and names etc just to be in corners, dont need tactical overview, dont need commentator gob on screen, especially dont need blank white bar or even transparent bar in the middle ..... its distracting and makes the whole thing tiring to watch .......

i think caps is dangerous cos there is always the case where people could be reporting back on the cap of the enemy to the teams playing atm.

probably too powerful as the teams would then instantly know how much cap the other team has so know where to use neuts

You can always put a 5min delay on the stream to stop that.

IDK about that... I like the live stream and the potential bloopers it presents. Also, 5 minutes is a long time to delay a stream...

I'm not sure if i want to see more stuff, guess like most of us we want to see the space, the fight and the bare info we need, the EW indicator is an awesome thing, but the old interface was compact, ingame related and less excel warrior like.

If you watch football, would you like to see 30% of the screen covered?

No, but in football you can easily decipher what's going on. Adding the EW for example I find super helpful in terms of finding out who is doing what.

Having each team display information in DIFFERENT order (mirrored) does NOT make it easy do decipher! The EW info is very nice however and a request I did to CCP for ingame like 2 years ago....still not there.

Just have team blue have the same column order as team red so we don;t have to search for a minute to see any usable information and make it less dominant on the whole view! De-interlacing the footage is also a good thing to do!

It's like the inventory system - a good idea in theory, but needs refinement.

It's horrible. It doesn't matter how much space is filled up or not. The old UI for the tournaments is vastly superior and easier to read.

atm that white status frame is way too big and takes away alot of the actual combat screen.
if they could make it transparent it would be mutch better.

but the old system is mutch better.

At the very least, make the display a dark grey or some other subdued tone. The glaring white just creates a terrible contrast.

CCP: I LOVE the new interface. Maybe the color needs some tweaking, but overall there is so much more valuable information there to help non-experts follow what is going on. Great work!

Anyone know when you see the ECM symbol if it means that the target is successfully jammed, or only if it means ECM is being applied?

you can still do that while keeping the screen clear. we don't need to see the guys face 24/7. I liked it better when you used the bottom space to bring up a 2nd camera. Having one camera doing top view to see the whole field, while the main camera focuses on eye candy was the best.

If you want the bottom screen to be handly replace video of guys face with a top down view of the battle field. Also make it transparent. I could draw up a quick design...

Ok after a few fights I found out my main beef with it.

It removes the natural eye state of the middle of the screen to look at the bottom where you can no longer see the ships.

before with the info on the sides you still saw the action since your eyes where at the same vertical level... does my poor english make sense?

your english is good :)

i can quote you in that case, pulling your eyes down to the HP Bars and you will lose focus on what happens ingame.

Sure.

Unlike the post above (#55) , I like that the info is consolidated into one place. I concede that the view may not be optimized for Eve experts. But for those of us who don't know every ship type, having a consolidated status board with ship names and damage levels in one place lets me follow the status much better than putting the ships to the far left and right. In AT9 I had a terrible time keeping my SA. Sure, there was more of the eye candy visible, but I had a far harder time determining what that status of the fight was. This time around, that info is really keeping me on top of the match.

Ill grant you if you are very new and dont know the ships by sight and such as many of us older players.. then yes it is a good thing.

Can you add range from the center of the arena to the UI?

It would help us to know where people are through out the arena & when someone is going to violate the boundary.

A red pop up that warns the viewers when they are with in 10 KM of the boundry would work. Everthing else is useless numbers.
