Starbase Charters

With my Loyalty Points I can buy a Starbase Charter which allows me to control a Starbase for 1 hour.

What could someone do with a Starbase for one hour that might be advantagous to that player?

If I can figure out how to make isk or something useful I might do it.

What do you guys think?

Starbases costs hundreds of millions of ISK, requires high faction standings when anchored in high sec, and with the fuel prices, the Starbase charter is just a tiny fraction of what is required to succesfully set up a control tower.

If you want to know more about starbases, I'd suggest you check out the Starbase article on the Evelopedia.

Making ISK with a Starbase is not easy, and requires alot of work. I'd definitely recommend you look into it at some point, but for now, I'd recommend you sell the Starbase charters, rather than using them yourself.

They only use of the Starbase charters are there to fuel POS in high-sec. It's not like you think, that 1 charter gives you 1 hour of access to a starbase (aka POS).

They need to be put into the control towers fuel bay like the other fuel ("Racial name" Fuel Blocks).
So unless you have your own tower (in your corp) they are only useful to be sold on market.


But as the requirement (1 charter/hour) is low and supply quite high (you don't need massive LP to buy them) you will notice that profit margin on the charters isn't really high.
