The servers are based in London here in the UK, at Canada Square in Canary Wharf if I recall correctly.

Ah. I guess I should have logged out of my google account.

Welp. Search was probably influenced by what google knows about me. I still cant imagine his being so far off from mine to displace my top result more then 3-4 spots.

Good location as LINX (London Internet Exchange) is down in Telehouse on the docklands, this is where a huge number of ISP's interconnect.
