So many patches

It seems that every time I log on I have to wait an interminable amount of time before I can play.
30 meg this time which is around 15 minutes.
Why do I have to pay 14 bucks a month to be an unwilling guinea pig?
Untill this programme is running correctly all account fees should be suspended and we should be credited with time for our patience/impatience.
Yes it's a rant, but where else am I supposed to lodge a valid complaint?
A pettition in the round file?

Just leave the launcher running all the time after big patches come out. Like when you are at work or school.

Why are they fixing the game? I didn't break it.
Two or 3 months ago when I allowed my subscription to run out, due to their last round of meddling. It wasn't broke.
I could open my inventories with a double click, drones had loot instead of bounties and everything was working PERFECTLY.

If you have 3 hours per day to play Eve and it takes you 45 minutes to log on then you will earn 25% less ISK.
Could that be the reasoning for fixing something that wasn't broke?

If you're seriously going to argue that you deserve monetary compensation because CCP is patching the game and you have crappy internet then maybe you just shouldn't play MMOs vOv

CCP is working on some type of merit badge. Not sure what the end reward is, but I can bet they have a lot more patches to go.

GM Homonoia: In other words; feel free to use the tactic, but don't be an utter and total ***.

CCP Tallest_: _And by "we have made it so", I mean Punkturis has made it so.

you sound as if you never played Battlefield 3 Big smile you spend more time downloading patches on that game than you do playing.

They patch the game, people complain about the patches

they do not patch the game, people complain about bugs and ask why CCP doesn't care to patch them...

If only there were successfully patching a problem every single day. Game might reach a reasonable level of quality in 2013.
Here's hoping it accelerates!

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

its like going to your favorite resaurant, you know you like going there and you know you like the food, but you'll complain everytime about how long it takes to cook the food.

I say just let them do their job. I see a lot of threads about CCP not fixing this bug or this thing is broke and this - n - that and so CCP patches the game through releases, then people complain because they have to download them...

Your compensation fee can be found by using the lost time to look under the sofa cushions.

If you find more than 20 cents you've made a profit.

It's threads like this that make me realize why the CCP staff is always drinking.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Every time I see there is a patch, I cross my fingers and pray that 'this will be the one' that fixes the massive cluster f*&K that is the unified inventory.

CCP's doesn't owe you anything because you have a poor internet connection. That's your problem not theirs. And your ignorance of how huge software projects are kept maintained and functional is not an excuse either. You should be overjoyed that CCP puts enough care and effort into their game to fix problem frequently and quickly. Many other MMO developers would wait months for major patch landmarks to fix something.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Oh, I've already poured myself another glass...

The staff of CCP is truly invested in making EVE better. A part of that commitment is to release fixes as soon as possible; release often, release early. A fix gathering dust in our source control system is of no benefit. Hence we are aiming for more frequent but smaller patches.

My conspiracy theory is these patches are from CCP squeezing the last drops of work out of their european employees before their long summer vacation. We will end up praying for patches pretty soon. But no help will come.

Thats it, a vicious cycle, players complain to much, devs get drunk then code and design new features (for example the new UI) while inebriated, devs release said mashed up code and designs, players complain, devs drink more then write code for fixes while out of there minds on anything recreational they can get there hands on, release said code, players complain ...............

It all makes sense now Lol
