Whats a watt?

To answer this question, 1 Watt isn't just the same as 1 Volt. Watts are calculated by multiplying the Voltage and Amperage over any given component in an electric circuit. In the case of your lemons, the chemicals inside create 0.9 Volts, not Watts, and 0.0003 Amperes, giving you roughly 0.00027 Watts. While your argument might be good you lacked a bit of knowledge about the different terms, causing confusion. If you want to power your 400W computer using lemons, you need to acquire 1,481,481.5 lemons per hour. Somehow, I doubt that's worth it, unless you have a lemon farm and a factory that creates lemon batteries for you

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you may want to do some research next time

You both spoil an awesome and visionary idea with boring scientific facts.
You two should be ashamed.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Meh, rather spoil it than end up with hundreds of whine-threads because the one-lemon-per-minute thing doesn't work. Which would you rather have? And you can only pick one option.

Thought the thread was going to be about using a software tool (I believe one was called Citrus). Ended up confused, then laughing through the thread (because I kept substituting 'potato' in OP).

Very good anyway. +1, but also inb4 OOPE. ;-)

This is a terribly inefficient manner of turning Lemons into game play. Your method only takes advantage of a chemical reaction in the fruity flesh of the lemon that has limited lasting power. Once all those delicious electrons are used up you're tough out of luck and left with a tangy and refreshing but spent piece of fruit. Thankfully lemons are made out of something that can provide so much more power... carbon! Lemons almost entirely carbon!

Burn those Lemons and use the heat to power a steam turbine. A single pound of lemons will provide you hours of game play assuming you have a means to store the excess power generated; I suggest some sort of vinegar based battery.

If you're one of those tree hugging hippy types that objects to dumping waste carbon into the atmosphere for whatever reason you could use the sugars of those lemons to feed a variety of yeast species who's metabolic waste (their crap) is wonderful inebriating ethanol. You can burn the ethanol to fuel a steam turbine and alcohol burns cleanly enough that it won't emit any visible smoke, convincing your hippy brain that you're not actually dumping loads of carbon into the atmosphere (you'd also be too poorly educated to notice all the carbon dioxide your happy little bacteria are producing). Alternative you could drink the bacterial poop to the point you no longer care if you're playing Eve Online or not.

Have fun!

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.
