Whats with all the patches lately, every time I log on its another 30mb or so.
I am on a dongle with limited usage and its seriously ******* me up this month, geez

Cause CCP and the launcher are awesome.

Lets CCP throw fixes out almost the second they get done instead of waiting for a slow deployment process while we have to deal with said bugs for the duration.

Well, normally getting a lot of small patches is considered better than big huge patches, but I can see how this could be a problem for you. For now, just take for granted that every DT will include a small patch. And try to find a hotspot to do it on the cheap.

You know this is impossible right. Full testing of any code of decent size would take decades. They have 6 months. And crap code to start with.

Welcome to world of CCP, where testing is outsourced to customers. yes they do have atleast 6 months to test code, but they dont. They just code something crap up and let it loose on servers. Even when people give them feedback on test server about issued that need fixing before release to live server, they usually just ignore it.

In some other games you have to wait 6 months so (maybe) they fix some bugs and (again maybe) throw in some new stuff. Maybe you'd be better off playing those games.

If patches were released ~2 days into the next month there would probably be fewer issues with people having tiny download caps, then. Cool

If you're going to attempt to be a smartass to someone, you should learn to read. The speed is not his issue, the bandwidth cap is his issue.

OP: Wah. If you have a monthly cap and it was one BIG patch every few weeks, it'd be the same bandwidth. The patches come nowhere near 10g, stop d/ling so much pr0n

Just a little info here. you could download over 30 of those patches before you even hit 1GB of your allowance.

I used to happily play EVE, make Skype calls and surf on Google 5 days a week for about 5 hours a day using an O2 3G dongle with 3GB of allowance and rarely used it all up. So having a 10GB allowance should prove no barrier as long as you aren't streaming copious amounts of adult material or TV programmes.

10000/30 = 333.33...

What are you complaining about. You can download 333 times 30MB per month. Maybe stop downloading porn and play the game.
