Would be very nice to have. Especially after Hilmars blog about getting it right from here on in.

I think we deserve a damn answer?

The server worked fine for the rest of us it only excluded YOU cause the community decided EVE would be a better place if you couldn't log in.

No we don't - the server farted 5 minutes early. EVEGate then fell over too briefly. I expect all will be well very soon. However, If theres a serious issue and we arent up in an hour from now then yes maybe an info announcement is due.
I think you are a bit excitable though and then to abuse other people shows you need a valium.

I have tin foil hat trained to 5.

Disagree totally, simply because Hilmar pretty much promised excellence from here on in. Then this happens?

No communication from CCP at all...

When I read something promising that the crap has stopped from a CEO I expect him to not lie to me, as that letter is personal to each and every player.

For the server to fart 5 minutes early and get no explanation is 100% wrong in my book. A GM or DEV should have had an announcement up on the boards as soon as those boards were viewable.

We were promised great communication and what we get is seriously poor communication.

Statement on behalf of CCP from Arnar Hrafn Gylfason, Senior Producer for EVE Online. Good communication and trust between CCP and the EVE community has always been a fundamental priority for CCP and will continue to be so.

I rather have them work on the server to fix it and get it running again, then come here and write a post about what they think is the reason why it is still offline.

I rather have them come here and explain what happened which would be good for community. These who keep the server online and these who write programs aren't the same people. So don't bullshit us. Thanks.

Just use your eyes, if you can't log in, you can't log in. Go have a **** and a cup of tea or something.

Optional GM reply:

"We're looking into it."

Your car doesnt start and right off the bat you know exactly why it didnt.

You may assume or expect them to hand you any relevant info once it is known. Apart from that, stop yapping demands and play your "i have rights" card elsewhere.

1. Devs look at cause of error
2. Devs make sure they understand cause
3. Devs fix error
4. Community team stays the hell out of the Devs hair while this is happening instead of hovering by their desks or sending a mail every five seconds asking "what the hell just happened?"
5. When everything's back to normal, Devs tell Community team what happened and what they did to fix it
6. Community team makes sure they understand what they just got told
7. Community team tells the players and answers questions

A workflow other than that leads to snap statements, muddled facts and rumour mills grinding away into the wee hours of the morning. Demanding answers like you are doing just makes you look like a spoilt brat

If that would be free to play game then you would be right. As for subscription game i do have rights and CCP do have responsibilities. So go play your "cards" elsewhere with this approach.
