Given up trying to get through A1 from Durham. Road is down to 1 lane and place is like a carpark. Other routes through Wrekenton and Springwell all shut by Police.
Hopefully CCP will reschedule another meet. Sad

GUTTED. Just spent £40.00 F*****ING trying to get there in a taxi. Roads are flooded tailbacks for miles. Had to come home. Should have been only £25.00 to get there!!! I'll post a picture of the flood when I work out how.

Mate I only live 20 minutes away and getting in to town is a nightmare. I'm really hoping CCP re-arrange this as I was looking forward to it.

3 hours to travel from the Benton north of Newcastle to Felling in Gateshead 7 miles or there abouts, surely CCP will arrange an alternative venue on a day when we have some sunshine and not biblical floods !

Just rang the Black Swan and gotten them to pass a message along to CCP Unifex asking him to come on here and let us know if they will re-arrange for those of us who couldn't make it. Felt rather daft since I'm only 20 minutes down the road, lmfao.

we attempted to make it, spent 2 hours on a journey that should take 20 mins and due to complete gridlock on the a1 and most road closed we hd to give it up :( hopefully CCP will be able to get another organised - gutted

Really wanted to come to this but like every one else its been pretty much impossible to get to it you lived more then a few miles outside the city center

Hell i would have rode my motorbike in and supped coke all night if i hadnt already had a can around 4pm

Real shame the weather hit when it did. I was just landing in Newcastle when the **** hit the fan (local boy not a nutter) Im more then certain a good time was had by all and certainly met a few kind strangers and had some Good Ferbalisations (see what i did thar) with CCP DelegateZero but big shout outs all round for everyone being there.

I had quite the journey for making it into town in good time a very long walk to find a hire bike to then try and navigate the town moor and exhibition park (pic related) http://imgur.com/5GWzK

the pond literally took over all of exhibition park. Probably the worst weather I've ever witnessed in England.

Once in Newcastle though all plain sailing the taxi driver who drove me home said most of the big roads towards the coast were still flooded so anyone who has an early start tomorrow GOOD LUCK!

If anyone has those pics I look forward to seeing them :P

Would love to be part of one of these again.

Had a great night, thanks for agreeing to unban my main, fix the client memory leak, make a post about the fact there is a memory leak, agreeing to make titans awesome again and..... all the free drinks.. Most of them are true.

Please don't let the weather discourage you from doing this again.

Took me four hours to get there...from Sunderland. But braving the floods was well worth it! Brilliant night, great to meet everyone but it is a huge shame not everyone could make it. Hopefully see everyone again next year!

I eventually found a route to Newcastle that I didnt have to wade through a pond to get there. Too bad for the people who couldnt get there. Was a really good night. My daughter and myself had a great time. Thanks to everyone who made the effort.
