what is the mechanism that prevents people from buying faction item BPCs and then copying them all day erry day? i never tried it i'm just curious.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Game mechanics get in the way. One cannot copy a BPC. BPCs are obtained from various sources (e.g., drops from NPCs, LP stores, copying from BPOs, i.e., Originals).
