I still say this is the wrong way to handle this. I believe it was Switzerland that went down the same path before ending up with the socialized health care and quite frankly you'd think we would learn from their mistakes. The first blatant loophole that I've seen (and correct me if this has changed lately) is that insurance companies can no longer refuse people with obvious issues, BUT, there is no apparent ceiling as to what they can charge. I've already seen a bit of that myself when I received a email from the main office telling me that my coverage was too low and they'll be upping it automatically. I'm sorry what? Should I be expecting that often? Why did you give me the options if you are just going to be changing them anyways?
We should have either left it at private healthcare or gone straight over to socialized health reform (which we will most likely do after several years of being raped). But we didn't, and it just seems to be yet another let down in a series of many in the last decade.

Democrats want to kill a bunch of people before they are born and take care of the rest who make it.

Republicans want everyone to be born and then have disease make up the difference.

Confirming that the US is a socialist country and this is just one more sign. A big sign.

Seriously, I just hope that the state move for nullification or the congress starts the repeal process.

It is interesting how Supreme Court did it. They said that it is a tax. What is one of the things that Democratic Party known for? It is known for making more taxes. So in 2010 Democrat president and Democrat Congress passed a tax.

Boohoo princess. I hate to break it to you but you still are, considering that you seem to think that your tax money is still yours after you hand it over to the government.

I am really going to blow your mind by telling you that you are paying for others healthcare through your insurance as well. What, you thought they just kept your monthly payment set aside for your rainy days?

The only silver lining is that this guarantees a charged Republican electorate and vastly improves the odds of electing Romney. As a country we should never bank our liberty on the opinion of nine justices - they are bound to fail us eventually as they did today. I look forward to its legislative repeal.

That said, Obama has already laid down the precedent for Romney simply choosing to ignore the law's enforcement, the same way Obama had chosen not to enforce other laws (immigration, etc) he simply didn't want to.

Romney has all the justification he needs to tell states and individual Americans to ignore it until it's repealed, and that so long as he is president they can do so. Which is a pretty nifty reelection technique.

I don't think we'll ever see its enforcement but it's still important it be removed from law.

The only bright side to Obamacare would have been the look on the faces of those newly out of college idiots who voted for Obama when they find out the money they were gonna spend putting a Coach purse on layaway or buying a necklace for their girlfriend so they can get a handy out of their meager Obama-economy paychecks now has to be spent on health insurance they probably won't need or use for 10 years because The One dictated it.

Chief Judas John "Dredd Scott" Roberts: trolling his own political party since 6-28-12

Seriously. If the moderate of the supreme court says he thinks the whole thing should have been overturned, a majority of the states agree, and almost 70% of the population wanted at least the individual mandate gone, maybe the court should have thought a little harder before voting.

I'm glad I live in a civilised country where healthcare is seen as a right protected by law, not a "privilege." Roll

Nine-day stay in hospital last summer-- it did, and will, cost me exactly zero. And I've never in my life had, nor yet needed private insurance.

You pay no taxes then? Unemployed? Because that's the only way you're paying zero. What is it with you people who seem to think just because you don't directly pay the service provider that the service is free? You think those doctors and nurses are volunteers?
