Eve used to be such an exciting game. For several years now, Ive ran 3 accounts, taking part in some industry, some pvp, some idle chatter, and enjoyed the 0.0 experience. Things have changed. I had worked (slowly) towards my Supercarrier, planning a pvp character with a carrier, and industrial character with the rorqual, and the super pilot. It was all within grasp, then BANG. They doubled in price. So now I'm sitting with 3 characters, but no goal. I'm not going back to ratting, I'm not grinding anything. I had reached where I wanted to be, was paying my accounts, and making enough to supply myself with some nice pvp ships as and when required. Now, I just log in, and 5 minutes later and log back out. This month, I'm not paying my subscriptions. The end of an era, and a sad one at that. I am not wasting my isk on 500mil Plex's, I am not grining another 10 bil for my super. The game has lost its appeal, so send me your isk and ill keep it, incase I ever come back in the future. Fare ye well and so long eve geeks

Inflation has hit EVE pretty hard, but at the same time we are being exposed to more and more lucrative forms of ISK generation. Maybe you should go give FW a try, decent ISK income (now that the Fantastic Five are done Blink) and you get to PvP. If you aren't willing to, you know, play the game, then yea, go take a break and come back.

I still remember the quote from CCP Sunset "No one quits playing EVE, they just go on vacation".

There are other solutions...he could send me stuff lol...

OT Sorry to hear you are getting bored...but eventually it is bound to happen with games unless you start making your own fun. Well hope you get that spark of excitement back, or at least find something else fun to do with your time.

TL;DR: I can't fly a super cap because it is too expensive so I quit.

I've got a job to earn $100.000 for a house. When I've earnt $100.000 - house price increased to $250.000. Now I can't afford house, I'm bored and don't want to live anymore.

Why constructions like this is ok for a game while they sound absolutely non-sensual in real life?

P.S. First people complain about bots - 2000 bots banned, then people complain about afk hi-sec miners - thousands of miners shot in hulkageddon, ore prices skyrocket and ships prices increased by 70% in 7-8 months. We've got exactly what we wanted.

Sure, I'll buy PLEXes instead of house and will fly around until someone shoot me. Probably this is the only real solution to fix OP's boredom. Or maybe s/he should just mine ore for his own supercap to lower the price.

I wonder, you played eve for several years only to get into a supercarrier? And then what? Do not fly a ship you can not afford to lose. So what then just look at it? You would have quit anyway once you got to your goal because you had nothing after your goal.
Or are you like a car collector just want to own it? It would take you several more years before you could buy another one so that is how long it would be before you could fly the first one.

You've ran 3 accounts for several years and can't make enough isk to pay for plex? Shocked

Because the real world analog was: I saved for a house, but scammers and idiots have caused a bubble wherein house prices have increased beyond what I feel is reasonable, so I'm not house shopping for a while at least.

So no, I don't want to go on your three day cruise and listen to one short pitch for your gated community.

1. Take a break from EVE.
2. Wait for next expansion. Two even.

When faced with a challenge, many players deal with it and win it.

Others sit down, suck their thumb and create a whining thread on the forum. Possibly demanding some gods fix the world for them.

Guess which kind is this OP?

If you start drink before playing you will see a total new game

Also you can start a career of forum warrior

More importantly did Lipbite get a bust increase?

...

Also OP, I'm impressed you ran several accounts for multiple years, yet you're so easily off-put by this change. It's 10B. It's not some unreachable goal.
