I'm up in the north east of England and we're having massive thunderstorm right now, I'm wondering if it's hit London where the servers are as well.

Dude, I was out in that :( One minute the skies over Newcastle were fairly clear, then BAM, now its blue skies again. It's like wtf?

I was just chatting to some newbies in our chat channel and the sky lit up and the heavens opened. Was quite sudden that. Shortly after that the server shutdown notice appeared, How peculiar.

Standing outside a local shop when that happened. A massive black cloud stretching from horizon to horizon literally shot overhead and the next thing there was a gigantic bang and a lightening bolt struck a mobile phone tower and set fire to the ground around it. I pretty much shart my pants at that point.

Also as an aside, any of you other northerners coming to the EVE meet on friday?

I'm not participating but, can I root for whoever is shooting TEST? Like a sports fan kind of thing? Blink

Yay for untested patches.

This update has made dualboxing (let alone tripleboxing) impossible. At least for me. For the patch I had trouble running three clients (since the last two weeks or so) but now even two clients run like crap. And they ran ok(ish) before this reboot.

Well done.

dock / undock fixed it for now it seems, but still the two clients take almost 900M each of memory, which seems excessive compared to the past. According to an alliance mate his are well over 1GB

My 3 clients show 635M (docked) 714M (undocked/traveling) and 800M (undocked/traveling) right now. Are you in Jita?

5 minutes would not be nearly enough time for pilots flying through Delve's lag fest. Clearly, it had to be 50 minutes minimum.

Ah, that explains it - emergency node reinforcements... Gotta cater to the customer. Well some of them anyways

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

PvP's latest  incentive program ** Unified Inventory **  'Cause you gotta kill something after trying to use it

Is a reboot required to reinforce a node? Can't it be hot-reinforced?

bet it is delve, though, that they're closing down for. it's a mess out there atm.

This, and next time I hear some player say we need more players in EVE I will simply point them in this direction.
EVE has more players than it can handle right now. Until this time dilation effect can be made to work as needed on the fly without a general shutdown of EVE to swap out a node to relieve the pressure then the game is unstable and overloaded already. We do not need more players in EVE people.

It broke because they removed the Frill on the Vagabond.

Bring back the Frill.

the node has to be rebooted but the rest of the cluster can stay online

hot movements of solar systems across servers is one of these soon(TM) things that get mentioned at every fanfest

This means the cluster reboot had nothing to do with Delve and something else broke. Right?
