Launcher Error.

I have bypassed the launcher already and can play eve, but I would like the launcher to work again without having to re-download EVE. I don't know why it had an error, it worked fine one day and the next day it had an error. I did not do anything to my computer as I shut down after I logged off eve the next day I powered on my computer and hit the launcher which had an error.

Anyone have any tips? I have been having this problem for a month now and still haven't found anything that helps. I am tempted to re download EVE but I fear the same problem will happen again.

"it had the error" is about as unspecific as a bug report could possibly be.

Close the launcher and restart it.

Guys, he obviously means "the error" in the same context as "the door". Don't worry, bro, it'll be fixed by CCP.

Not that it will help but "The Error" is:

EVE Online Launcher Exception
An unexpected error occured
Please try to restart the Launcher or run the Repair Tool(repair.exe located in your eve directory)

Then a bunch of crap that will not fit in 1 post and I'm not going to bother.

in the

C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\k_eve_online_tranquility\cache

there is file called

evepremiumpatchxxxxxxxx.exe where xxxxxxx is a patch number and
EveOnlineLauncherInstaller_TQ_1320.exe

ive runned both of these and my laucher worked again.

delete boot.ini -> problem solved.

Almost all of the errors I keep seeing have simple, common sense solutions that are already discussed in the forums.

People are lazy and deserve all the hate they get. After all, google is not broken.
