Can anybody give a noob/non-0.0 player breakdown of what's going on in Delve.. My understanding of it is that Southern Comfort and KFC are getting rowdy? I thought they went pretty well together tbh.. well depends how much SoCo you really have I suppose.

The Northern Goons and Friends are coming down to help TEST take over Delve, with lack luster success at best by both parties.

This is partly due to Time zone issues, as a large amount of Forces on the Souths side are Russian. And, Yes I am currently in the Deployment zone fighting for -A- as En Garde is a -A- pet Alliance Cool

Just look at that, North VS South really.

As much as I would normally dislike agreeing with my Test Alliance forum going companion, this is rather true.

It all started as PL and TEST being bored like 6 weeks ago, and we both moved down to delve to mess with Nulli Secunda and RA, who were having a slap-fight (you know, when people don't want to really hit each other, so just flail their arms wildly). In an effort to be gentlemen-ly, PL even left our supers and titans like 4 or 5 mids away in lowsec.

We quickly re-discovered that Nulli and RA are cowards, and are afraid of our mighty Drake fleets, so a few weeks ago, we brought in the big guns (titans and supers) and continued to harass them both while they called for HALP from -A- (along with all their pets). It's a bit ironic, because Nulli was originally fighting against RA, and RA and -A- and Nulli aren't exactly friends anyway v0v.

To counter -A- joining, and because we have tired of the Nulli/RA (but mostly Nulli) cowardice, we batphoned CFC to come join us in completely purging Delve and Querious. Now instead of hitting a tower/ihub/station or three to generate fights, we're just gonna hit all of them and push their junk in.

This Delve War 5 update was brought to you by Shad0wsFury, Pandemic Legion, and the number zero.

As someone who is not involved but likes to keep track of this (as I think the other two descriptions were both from combatants):

Red Alliance (RA) was removed from their home in east by Against All Authorities (AAA) and Solar Fleet, among others, during the Russian Civil war. A deal was struck where if RA handed over their sov, they would be given parts of Delve and Querious. Nulli Secunda (who are allies of AAA) already occupied parts of those parts, and refused to give up space. So a fight between RA and Nulli Secunda took place. RA seemed to be in control initially, but it became quite clear that Nulli was going to win the conflict.

About that time, Pandemic Legion (PL - known for their super-capital capabilities) were bored and jumped in as a third party. After a few super kills on each side, this was pretty much agreed to be true. They, as the above poster from PL says, left most of their super-capitals beind as this was a purely "fun" and "goodfights" battle. This was also towards the end of the Northern campaign by the CFC to take Tenal. After they succeeded, Test Alliance Please Ignore (TEST) was invited by PL to come to delve to join in the "goodfights". RA then actually allied with Nulli (as they were at war earlier in this story) to fight both TEST/PL (nick named the honey badger coalition).

"goodfights" were had for a while, but began to dry up. TEST/PL began attacking Nulli and RA towers and sov to force them into "goodfights". This worked ok for a while, but after much bickering between both sides, this escalated into full scale sov war between the two sides. Unlike the En Garde poster above says, TEST/PL and their friends have taken quite a few systems in Delve. So, AAA was called into the fight, occasionally assisting Nulli/RA in their fight against TEST/PL.

Then *The Escalation* occurred. The Southern Coalition (SoCo) - at the time mostly just RA/Nulli/AAA - were doing fairly well in holding off PL/TEST, but not exactly winning. So, more help was called in. Raiden(dot), recently evicted from Tenal by the CFC, joined in. The other southern alliances who had been helping a bit as well joined in, and the objective was set: Take Delve Back.

Not to be out done, TEST has friends of their own. They officially invited the entire CFC to join into the fray. See the posts in this link: https://forum.pleaseignore.com/topic/14975-delve-fight-or-die/. Montolio is the CEO of TEST and The Mittani is the more well known leader of Goonswarm Federation. The CFC is (arguably) the most powerful bloc currently in the game. Since December they've taken Branch and Tenal from fairly powerful opponents.

And here we are. The Honeybadgers/CFC vs. the SoCo. If you're just counting membership it's near 50,000 pilots. Realistically it's not that many, but absolutely gargantuan battles are likely to take place. I've got my money on the HBCFC; they have region conquering down to a science. They also have vastly, vastly more isk through their technetium holdings than the SoCo does, allowing them to basically throw ships with no concern for losses into fights. However, the SoCo is the home team and has more super-capitals invovled. So, who knows. Should be good though.

Thanks, awesome explanation. Sounds pretty epic, will be interesting to see how it all turns out. What does CFC actually stand for though? Never really worked that one out ;)
