Ok, so.. I want to get more involved with PvP. I've been out of the mix for a long time...

What are the "best" Amarr ships to use in PvP, mostly solo or small group?

Solo or small group you can't go wrong with the curse. Zealot has fallen out of fashion recently but it still packs a hell of a punch. Retribution (assault frig) is also a good choice, especially since it's now got a second midslot. And the Armageddon - not much of a solo boat but adds a bit of muscle to small gangs.

Also of note if you are in a small group and your job is to bring the firepower / punch, Harbingers are a very hard hitting, fairly inexpensive BC.

If you want to set up more for support in the small gang, Curse scare the hell out of me when set up for TD and Cap Draining, with those range bonuses.

Curse is the range bonus one.

Arbitrator is an amazing cheap mini-curse, you might consider that for solo or gang support.

I've seen auto fitted mallers perform well as a bait...and of course the sacrilege on that regard.

also there's the oracle for dps projection.

Shield tanked gank harbinger. Seriously, it's got no armor tanking bonuses. If dps is what you want then it will give you dps!

then again, two of my other favorite pvp fits are autocannon ferox and hull buffer megathron, so maybe listening to me about fittings is a bad idea...

Imperial Navy Slicer & Arbitrator/Pilgrim are the ones that instantly come to mind.

Slicer and Vengeance are top competitors in frigate combat.
Arbitrator and Maller can be useful in certain situations, however the Amarr lack a solid solo T1 cruiser.
Curse is exceptional in most situations, Zealot and Sacrilege can do well in some situations.
Harbinger is excellent.
All of the Amarr BS are superb.

Amarr ships, PvP, solo... I feel a semantic dissnonans! I mean, that our race ships not very suitable for the beginning of PvP career. They require good skills to be truly effective. However, if you love sacred lasers and armor - I respect your choice. Slicer will be a good to start Blink

Punisher, Slicer, Vengeance, Crusader, Sentinel, Arbitrator, Omen Navy Issue, Zealot, Curse, Pilgrim, Harbinger

Definitely start with the Punisher. Else you're likely going to stay bad.
