redocking question

Quick question.

I was recently station camping someone. They undocked from station, and a few (3-5) seconds later I was able to target them (I assume they moved or did something to disrupt the invulnerability).

I engaged, but they instantly, as in < 1 second, redocked. I thought they would have to wait at least 20 seconds from undock?

Thanks for any help you can give.

They don't.
They can redock almost immediately.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

Crucible started the trend. I don't see where 20s became the 2sec or whatever it is now.

As of February, session change timer is down to just 10 seconds:

This is well within the scope of what you describe, especially considering the subjective nature of how humans experience time. Example: he undocks, but doesn't appear in space for 2 seconds. You see him for 5 seconds before he is targetable. It takes 1 second to target him. He docks 1 second later. Somewhere in there you lose 1 more subjective second. Voila, 10 seconds elapsed.
