I downloaded a full client yesterday after the patching process turned out to be unsuccessful, for the third time in this year I think. It worked, but... today is the same story, except this time Creating EVE_Online... - Downloading... part freezed several hundreds of kilobytes before finishing (28.53/28.xx MB, IIRC) and after a few minutes I got the message Client update was unsuccessful or something like this. When I started the patcher again, another patching process was initiated. This time the patch was 9.90 MB but it ended on 9.00/9.90 and the message was: Unable to apply... the patcher will... with raised privileges. (This time I run the client with admin privileges, BTW.)

Interesting... That second patch which failed today (9.90MB) is... 391117-391117.

Thanks a lot for this!!! I've been trying ways to figure out how to tunnel the launcher's traffic over a tunnel for days with no luck.

I removed the entire folder yesterday and installed the full client again, without downloading the newest one. This time it upgraded successfully but today, after the 1.1.2 had been deployed, it failed near the end, as usually.

By the way, before the launcher was introduced I used to have some problems after trying to install a patch with limited system rights. Then the client wasn't able to upgrade itself even with raised privileges but I could still apply the manual patching method. This time I can't, it simply doesn't work, because I have to use that damn launcher.

Please, give us, instead of those "manual" patches which require to be copied to the game folder and don't make a difference, traditional .exe files to run, at least for the time being.

CCP, Thanks for getting the alternative links up quickly, but whatever server you use, it's unrealiable I'm afraid..
The links you share are extremely slow 10kb/s (if lucky),mostly just stops after downloading 1mb.

can anyone upload to another host?

Thanks.

FYI the current latest patch is out of date its saying i need 392804-392804 and that is not listed. I assume like with 391117-391117 its some minor revision but it still wont work without it .

CCP please fix the damn patcher. or at least keep this up to date.

The #&@#!! patcher not working here either!

Please fix it, or make an alternative patching option.

I had this exact problem. I launched ExeFile.exe located in the /bin/ folder of the EVE install and it worked fine. For some reason, my launcher thought my client was still out of date even though it wasn't.

However, I am still incapable of patching the client via the launcher because it insists on stopping any downloads just a few percentage points prior to completion.

Would it be possible in any way to run / implement the Patch File without the launcher?

Because mine wont run on this system, and the full install files have an archive error in them. :(

Cheers

Yes.
something like this:
launch cmd.exe and type:

C:\GAMES\EVE\launcher\applyPatch.exe %patch-file%
where C:\GAMES\EVE\ is a path to EVE client
