lv4 mission Dominix question

I'm setting up a Dominix for missioning in Amarr space. Currently I can get 515 tank/422 dps out of it. Will that work ok for lv4s? I can get a little more tank or a little more dps out of if I need to.

Here is my Setup

Dominix
3x Mission Hardeners (EMx1/Thermx2)
Large Reprieve Armor Repair
Medium Armor Repair
Counterbalanced Weapon Mounts I(x2)
Cap Recharger II (x3)
Omnidirectional Tracking Link (x2)
720 Scout Arty (x5)

DRONES: Garde I x5
Rigs Sentry Damage Aug, CC, Drone Control Range

Of course this is beginning setup. I plan on going for Sentry T2 and then probably T2 guns. If you are wondering how Atry and not hyrbrids- One I keep hearing Hybrids suck, and more importantly I am eventually planning on fly a Mach so training Arty now seems logical.

If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it. Just wanted to try and find out if this was lv4 mission-worthy or not.

It.. should work.. the fit is fine, its more a question of getting your skills up. IT is a HUGE difference between t1 and t2 sentries that really makes them shine before that they are ok but once you get t2 you go "omg yes" :)

It'll work. Honestly, if I were to opt to fit projectiles on a Dominix (I wouldn't, but your reasons are good enough even if hybrids are on the short list for buffing) I'd at least try to get large ACs on there over medium arties. Even 800s have almost twice the tracking 720s have and it's not like you'd be moving your space whale around trying to minimize transversal (and before anyone jumps on me, yes I know that gun signature also plays into the equation, but I still think large ACs are going to apply more damage on target than medium arties -- but no, I haven't tested it). If you do that though make sure you swap a gyro for a TE.

What do you have planned for the last high? If you can squeeze in a DLA, drop the Drone Control Range Augmentor for maybe an Auxilary Nano Pump? Haven't added up calibration, but that will help the tank and get you closer to dropping the medium repper in the future.

Honestly the guns almost dont matter. I started with medium arty on my dominix, largely due to training them for my Myrmidon. Now I have large rails but often forget to activate them during battle anyhow. Drones do enough.

I have been flying this fit for a few months and it rocks the 4's. Obviously swap the hardeners and drones. I always keep the set of drones listed. I swap out the Curators if I need mission specific damage or longer range. I have been using this in Amarr space exclusfvely.

With this setup I have a drone control range of 94KM. And with Warden's I have a 110km optimal down to 44km optimal for gardes.

In most missions the gardes instapop all the frigs and cruisers before they get in range.

The armor bots are for when i fly with my friend who flies an armor apoc.

I thought about this. Going with 800 ACs over the 720s is a DPS gain (around 55dps). However I'm not *too* familiar with Arty weapons, and the difference in range concerned me. Even more so that I opt'd for no AB/MWD/Web to keep distance on my target. Plus I was unsure if my tank would be enough to set in "close" range which would require a higher DPS tank. Stationary+close range didnt seem too smart to me. But Im not knowledgeable on lv4s or the Dominix, but you may be on to something.
In the end I will give ACs a try, my current thoughts were to sit out at ~35k range and between me and the sentries just pop everything before tracking gets to be an issue.

Also I plan on swapping out one rig and adding a DLA. It would have to be a 100 calib rig I think.

Derath's fit above is solid. The highs of course could be projectiles as you say. The fitting room on the Domi is not the greatest but some number of 1200s should be possible when you have those trained. I would only fit ac if it was an angel mission. Most angels like to get close. Serps do too, but it is best to snipe the serps dead before they get close. Serp blasters can hit rather hard when they get on top of you. If you fit ac you should probably rework your mids to fit a web. With ac or arty a painter can also help with tracking.

As to Derath's mids, you could drop a cap recharger for an ab, sensor booster, eccm, cap booster, painter, or web depending on the mission parameters and rat ewar type. If you find yourself needing cap you could drop an anp rig for a ccc rig. I would definitely find a slot for a damage control in a lowslot. A dc can keep your ship alive during an unexpected disconnect or just plain fubared respawn or whatever that might have overwhelmed your tank as you wait to align and warp out.

The Domi is a great cheap level 4 mission runner. I have not fit two reppers on mine in a long time. After a while you will find level 4s sorta boring. Have much fun with them though while you can.

I haven't found a need for a dc in all honesty. In most missions the rep keeps me at 100% armor each cycle. A few missions it may not quite keep up until I thin the spawn. And there are a couple missions I will dual rep.

My next adjustment when I get around to it is to add a second sentry drone rig.
