a lot of people seem more worried about the influence my mining will have on the market than me being able to waste a few isk in actual pvp.

podding in high sec, im not sure what this acheives other than making people train slower. probably the worst mechanic i have ever seen in any game. thats all it is, just pod to make people level up slower. this is so backwards i really cannot describe it.

It is damn near impossible to stop a pod in high sec if the player is paying attention.

you should probably ask the -10 security griefer who has been playing for more than half a year doing this sort of thing to newbies, how he does it.

i would give you his name but i feel that would just give him glory.

Yes, this is true. Ever since CCP removed smartbombs pods have become the I WIN button of Eve.

I am assuming that this person ganks miners and you are mistaking piracy as griefing and several month old players as newbies. Because the ganking of nubs in starter systems is bannable are should be reported.

i already petitioned, they call it pvp. i was in 0.5 asteroid belt. so i guess that makes it all fine.

what i needed to do was put my implants in and then log the hell off.

thats when i realised i needed to just cancel sub.

Gankers dont use smartbombs much in high sec as they fail to kill targets most of the time and require far more isk investment than you will gain from ganks as most of the time the wreck will also be destroyed if you do kill the target.

Yes it does. You are not in a starter system.

no i was mining in high security with my +4 implants in.

so i get to fight some npc pirates while i mine.

so i am not mining out starter system belts.

so i am able to anchor my cans.

so i can train up my skills fast and get isk to buy a proper pvp ship. and have money to lose trying to pvp.

if this is considered player vs player by CCP and everyone else then really, do those big battles really exist or is it just this kind of slimey one sided gank the guy with one tenth of the skills you have, with your multiple accounts, pod him so he gets skills even slower, robs him of all his value, even though he doesnt even have a gun on his ship. heh. this part is just not my taste of pvp i guess.

next youre going to say that i need a jump clone to mine in high sec without implants in?

ie stay logged out to train fastest........ how backwards is this game mechanic.

gief me training skills? what were they like, was it nice to train up and do pvp at the same time?

because right now, my only option is to train up while parked in a starter system. i took a risk and tried to mine in high security while training. silly me!

you.

you are the reason people hate high sec miners. in fact, i mine and i hate you. i used to mine in high sec and if i still did, i'd still hate you.

you undocked, people are free to kill you. that is all you need to know in this game. there is no such thing as being "safe" if you don't like that, this game isn't for you and you should go back to a pve server on WoW.

Were two or more individuals involved in a conflict? Then that would by definition, be player versus player. The fact that one of them came to a gunfight with hugs or was unaware the gunfight was even gonna happen doesn't change that.

No. I will simply say its up to you to figure out if its worth the risk. I myself have never used training implants because I expect to die often.

what part of going up against each other, was i going up against anyone?

i tried to warp, died, tried to warp, died.

not much to it really.

it wiped me of over 100 million in implants and set my training back days. and because i was trying to mine and skill up.

what part of player v player do you call that?

oh i undocked so i gotta lose my training time?

...... like i say. stay logged out to train.

nice game for newbies, stay logged out. cos otherwise everyone going to gank you and do anything they can to ruin your training time?

have fun with this.

So you're a couple weeks nub with +4 implants. While it was an expensive lesson for you, it's a very important one. If you can't afford to lose it, you can't afford to use it.

And for any other nubs thinking "I'd like to PVP, is the first step to get into a mining ship?" Captain Obvious is here to tell you "Nay young pilot. Mining will not give you the necessary training to become an ~elite~ pvper. Try joining Red Vs. Blue or Faction Wars."

For the record, I don't care what people do with their time in EvE. Nobody should tell you that you have to PVP. But don't think that you can also tell anyone else that they shouldn't PVP you. Just like you don't want people telling you want to do, don't tell tell the high-sec PVPer what to do.

That's not entirely true. For instance, I provide a wide number of options, the exploding part only comes when my initial suggestions are turned down. Hell, if you offer me enough, I'll even sit there and guard you instead.

You have zero tank on that plus a cargo expander which reduced your structure by 20% making you even easyer to kill. Then you failed to warp off your pod dispite getting three ever louder alarms and the pods abilitiy to instantly enter warp to a catalyst. You even fitting it so you were profitable to gank. This incident was of your own making and very much, a pvp encounter.

Learning skills. Time spent learning skills so we could learn skills faster. Basically they raised our attributes by a small amount. When CCP removed them from the game they adjusted everybody's attributes. Therefore we trained no faster than you do now.

OT: Stop complaining. You undocked. By undocking you understand that you may lose everything but the ISK in your wallet at any time. If you do not understand that, you do now. If you don't like it, that's the way it is.
I see you whining but I don't see your constructive ideas. What is it you want? Complete safety? Pfffffft.

Those are the miners that are hated. Those that want to mine with absolutely no risk. And when they do notice there is risk they complain on the forums.
Don't be that guy. Adapt or die.

the ship i dont mind losing.

i had it insured, i have lost other cruisers and ships before without any issue.

i dont mind losing my mining vessel at all.

its the fact that you would go to the extent of podding a miner too, just to grief the **** out of my training times, knowing that i cant insure my implants, and that it cost me a lot to get them.

its enough to put me off my sub, i can see it does the same to a lot of others.

Whoa, whoa. I've never podded someone just for the sake of it.

Usually it was to illustrate a point.

Sides, griefing doesn't make money.
