As shown by this.

World of Tanks holds a Guinness World Record in the category of Most Players Online Simultaneously on one MMO Server,

When did they have this 3500+ man battle? Also when did they have more people in a game than live in Jita?

i wouldnt disagree that it isnt an mmo. thats why i said that it is just a basic 15 v 15 deathmatch... its not even a good game.

the point is there is a huge potential out there, that eve just isnt realising.

Given that no other game can even handle the battles we see day in day out I would say EVE is delivering.

im pretty sure that any game can handle 1 ship ganking a newbie ship.

your big battles with thousands of players, i take it that means that what, a quarter of all online people are in your battle?

i just made a wild stab at that, with a little factoring station only accounts, dual accounts etc.

Ah I see, you lost the argument on the large scale and now resort to this.

I read something from Yttabium's lastdev blog :

"Covetor/hulk: Basically made for group operations when players have [...] protection to back them up."

That shows the whole problem of high sec mining : Explain to me how you can protect your friends against someone you can't attack until he does, and if he does he instantly kill your ship.

Suicide ganking is safe, thanks to CONCORD.

That doesn't make any sense :p

Of course ! Miners easily tank suicide gankers, that's why mineral prices are not raising, nor exhumer and mining barges prices.

Any other idea ?

what version of eve are you playing because mine has half of your 45k online.

obviously your big battles of thousands of players are delivering so much that the population doubled since my last post.

The hulk gets a tank in line with heavy assault ships. So yes, they can easily tank gankers, its just that fools like you chose not to.

Hint, population when europe is at work and America is asleep tends to be lower. If you looked this up you wouldn't look as daft as you just did. Unless you read the graph backwards like some have.

A successful JihadSwarm ganker should get a 30-day trip to their private zone for their reward of 72 virgin goats. This would dramatically cut down on this sillyness.

Then make the game so hauling ore and finished goods from highsec to other places actually involves some risk.

Yet, in the past year doing several runs to and from jita in haulers every day I have never been shot at.

yeah i cant say i get shot at much while i am warping either. whats your point?

this is about ganking newbies and other miners in high sec, podding them, can flipping, bumping into them and generally being **** to people so they dont want to play again. which happens a whole lot more than your "big battles with thousands of players" lol

id like to know how many people quit before ever seeing what you say eve delivers on

You forgot the 3rd reason people gank miners and probably the most truthful one...sociopaths in real life.

Many. All of them weak, foolish and risk adverce. There are plenty of people out there who simply will not enjoy facing risk in an MMO for the first time or have concequences for their actions. 99.999% of EVEs playerbase are not here to force people to quit, those that are quickly get banned. The problem you have is mistaking piracy for something else.

You cannot profitably gank a properly tanked Hulk.

EDIT: And you can't gank a properly attentive and prepared miner at all.

The only thing in Eve that cannot be ganked is docked players.

a lot of people seem more worried about the influence my mining will have on the market than me being able to waste a few isk in actual pvp.

podding in high sec, im not sure what this acheives other than making people train slower. probably the worst mechanic i have ever seen in any game. thats all it is, just pod to make people level up slower. this is so backwards i really cannot describe it.

i actually wish it was like the old days of learning skills. and i never even experienced the old days! i boggle at this. i wish it was like people say it used to be. yes strange.
