Hiya Fellow Mission-Runners

I am making this posting to draw your attention to our very excellent Pirate Epic Arc survival and support packages. These are commercial products, and are way superior to any of the freebies you'll find.

Anyways, I won't ramble on off-topic in this forum. I'll just provide you with the link to the main posting about these products - http://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973.

Cheers

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. But if you'd checked the postings at the start of the WTS thread you might have noticed that this matter had already been addressed in the FAQ question "Why buy this when there’s freebie stuff available?"

You might also have noticed that this package is way more than a guide. Still I guess it's sometimes a bit difficult to read all the information that's provided in these forum postings, especially when they try to anticipate the 'issues' and provide all the information in advance.

As I mentioned in the 'freebie' FAQ posting, there are other guides out there, and Jowen's are very good ... for what they are. I also posted links to his 'lore' site.

Not so! They are very good guides, but some of the mission setups appear to have changed since they were researched and written, and much of the trigger info is either incorrect or has changed. They also do not cover many of the 'tricks' and 'catches' that happen out there in Venal or Curse. For example there's no mention of the huge Caldari faction standings loss you can suffer during the Sabotage 101 mission.

Certainly, for many people that's enough and all they want / need, which is fine ... after all I used Jowen's guides to help me through the second time I ran Angel Sound (having managed an epic fail on the first attempt). What I am offering is a tool to much greater safety and efficiency for those wanting to not have to muddle along to the extent I did in the past.

Obviously not for everyone, just as those pirate epic arcs are not for everyone :-)

"Would you kindly?"
BioShock

BTW ... I just ran one of these missions (Fuel Gauge, mid-way thru the Smash and Grab arc) slightly differently to my previous efforts, and was pleasantly surprised to rake-in over 100M in goodies. So far I have only met two missions that can be completed solo in a frigate hull, and that pay better than this. Those are the final missions of these two pirate epic arcs.

Bump-o-comment:

They are selling so hopefully we will have some user feedback posted here soon.

'Smash and Grab' set about 75% done, so probably another week (mebbe two) and I will have it on the market also. In Venal with photographer atm. Lots more pictures in first version of 'Smash and Grab' manual ... and same when I revise 'Angel Sound' manual after my 3-months expires.

may i add the MOST important thing i found out about the "pirate" epic arcs was. the importance of warp ins on gates.saves your ass if you can avoid cans/bodies/wrecks etc etc etc

so i highly suggest whom ever does them makes thier own.. never trust someone elses "gate" book marks and even more so never trust anyone with yours.

Hey, thanks again for your most helpful comments. That's another important issue that is discussed in the manual. Hopefully some user feedback here soon.

Another major risk-point for these epic mission arcs is the station undock zone. Most of the arc agent stations are, as you'd probably expect, also the home of 'normal' agents with those corps / factions, and some of those stations are very busy.
Being able to almost-instantly warp away from the undock is a real advantage when wannabe-killers are there waiting for you.

Sometimes the undock line is bubbled, but you can see that before you're commited to the warp, and either warp anyway and cope with the bubble or ctrl-space to stop and redock. It's not something i've taken notes on (next time round I guess) but I don't think any of the arc-agent stations are kick-outs, altho some of the other stations you may have cause to visit certainly are.

I bought one Angel Sound pack and I received the pdf manual really fast. It looks pretty good but I haven't done the arc yet - I'll post more once I complete it. So far, so good - great service.

I was just in K-QWHE when someone was ganked, and lost 2 x cynabal BPCs as well as other stuff. The victim had obviously just finished the Angel Sound epic arc.

The gankers were smaktalk gleeful, the loser was angry and upset, and I was sad that he could have avoided it all by taking the advice in my guide and using these bookmarks.

The moral of this story? Buy my packages and get your cynabal BPs and get them out to hisec ... safely and efficiently.

Sniff, sniff :-(

I think Demon View is the first purchaser to complete the Angel Sound arc. grats, and thanks for the feedback:

Demon View wrote:
I just completed this arc with a (fairly low skill) Malediction, without losing a single ship, with only two close calls, and with too much traipsing between Curse and Domain over my fit. I'm pretty comfortable with lowsec, but bubblesec is another story, and I probably wouldn't've attempted this arc for some months yet, without this package.

So,

  1. It's not a scam. You really do get tons of bookmarks for the area, and also an in-game manual in the form of bookmarks, and also an emailed and nice-looking PDF with a lot of detail.
  2. Substantia herself was very helpful, particularly with intel.
  3. The bookmarks are all on grid, but placed so that I never had trouble getting around anchored bubbles.
  4. Even if you're wary of the bookmarks, they're good both to fall back on and to quickly improve on.

If you haven't completed these arcs, or are still afraid of nullsec, take this as your opportunity to head out there. This kit pays for itself.
