Tempest or Maelstrom?

So i recently moved into sansha space, and im wondering whats better for doing anoms and complexes, a shield tanking Maelstrom, or an armor tanking tempest,

i know that shield tanking is generally better for pve, but it has low EM and Thermal resistances, which is what the sansha do, so i would think that the tempest is better, but i really dont know for sure, please share opinions and facts

I reckon the Mael would be better, even though it has a big resist hole, the 7.5% repping bonus is pretty nice. I assume you have Minny BS to 5? If not, then a Pest would be better.

Get a faction booster and boost amp at a minimum, DGs are always a good one to go for. I wouldn't put it into a plex as a tanker though, not unless you have both a cap and shield RR buddy.

How close do the BS rats orbit? Do you have the skills for T2 Ogres? If yes, you may want to think about a torp/AC phoon? Should get higher DPS than a Pest, have faster speed and still have the natural resists for Sansha rats.

Another option you may want to think about is either a Loki or a Sleipnir, they would make excellent plex runners

Binary boy is right. If you have good armor tank and drone skills, a Phoon would be a very viable option.

a Mael will out dps a tempest, other then that, it's about what skills you have. if your shield skills are better use a Mael, if you armour skills are better a tempest.

If you skills are awsome you might be able to use a phoon
