After an 18 month break, coming back to eve and having those 3 buttons missing was quite a shock. this new inventory is a total mess imo. +1

The UI needs more modifications now than it ever did in recent years, mainly because just for starters it would be an improvement to fully revert to the pre-Crucible UI as a short-term fix while you work on making the following permanent: make the quickbar customizable FFS, and allow us to minimize chat windows on-screen. Tiered inventory or whatever they're calling it may be good for a certain type of player, but it's ridiculously clumsy for people who are dragging around invidividual ship modules and cargo to station hangars, moving ammo to cargoholds and drones to drone bays in small quantities but on a regular basis.

So:
1. customizable quickbar
2. on-screen minimized chat windows
3. customizable inventory screen

In that order of priority, preferably.

Change is not something which has a moral character. It is a process which leads from one state to another. So applauding change on it's own, CCP, is foolish at best.

You have to look at the old state and the new and ask yourself, is what it is becoming an improvement over what it was? If the answer is yes, then that change was good. If the answer was no, then that change was bad.

This change to the ship / inventory was beyond bad. If you can't realize this by now, after all of the feedback CCP, you are only fooling yourselves. In the meantime, you will keep losing players. No big deal right?

I dont mind the change. I got used to it pretty quickly. I'm not sure why they removed the buttons altogether tho.

Give it some more time would be my advice.

Your advice has been given multiple times, and taken multiple times... Look, it's not about "giving something time, and we'll get used to it".

The system sucks. You can't get used to something that sucks. If your car had oval tires, could you drive it? I suppose you could, but given time would you ever get used to it?

The lag from using the inventory is bad. It's making the game a pain when you're trying to open things up and move items. You can't get "used to" lag.

Not having a ship icon on the neocom for quick access is stupid. I have been playing this game for over 6 years. I am used to having a button there, and not having it makes me hit the un-dock button all the time. I can't get used to not having that button there.

These posts on "give it time" or "you'll get used to it" - I'm telling you it's not about getting used to something. I can get used to seeing ships like the Amarr color scheme being "changed" because honestly it doesn't effect how I play the game. When the game mechanics are changed so drastically like they were in the inventory, it really isn't something most of us can "get used to".

Great thread, keeps on rolling.UI is not easy on the fingers, everything has to be clicked twice. And the absolutely useless estimated value of hold and hangar contents is a nasty nasty piece of lag ****.If it wasnt for the fact that Ive got a long account paid up I'd bugger off and sit in the sunshine instead of hiding in the dark with a gaming addiction.Sad

After a break I come back to this cluster **** of an item/ship arrangement. NOT COOL.
I support giving the option to change back to old inventory.
Much like how walking in station is an option.
Just be cool CCP, just be cool.

Posting in a why the **** did we have to replace the one UI system I liked with one that makes me want to find the guy who changed it at fanfest and "discuss" the reasons it was a bad idea.

Please stop changing functional things so you can say you "did something" all you do is break them.

TL:DR put the items interface back the way it was.

If you think this is a good feature I'd imagine you have a thing for whips and chains and a bit of bondage???
