I am having problems with my display driver when i undock or jump into another system using gate or cyno. I have updated all the drivers for laptop and vid card. Was wondering if anyone had this kind of problem and how they fixed it. I have my interval set to default, still problem, set it to 1 still problem.
please help.

Crucible would crash the display driver while undocking and when changing systems, but minimizing EVE would prevent it, so EVE was playable but broken.

With the Inferno 1.1 patch its started doing the same thing while loading EVE, and sometimes [amusingly EVE just crashed the driver while typing this] even when EVE is minimized.

Its extremely frustrating.
:(

edit: and while I don't remember specific ships, I do know that while in some ships it doesn't crash, leading me to believe its a specific texture or geometry issue. It happens when the loading bar is about halfway across, not at the beginning or end of the bar.

Thank you all for raising this.

In order to correctly diagnose and fix display device issues, we need some additional information. This includes a DirectX Diagnostic Tool report from your computer and a detailed bug report:

  • Create a DXDiag file for your computer. To create this file go to the Microsoft support pages and follow the instructions.
  • Go to our bug reporting site and log in with your EVE account details.
  • Fill out the bug report form with as much detail relating to what you were doing at the time and how frequently you can reproduce the problem.
  • Please include "FAO: CCP Solomon" as part of your bug title, this will allow me to easily search.
  • Attach the DxDiag file you created in step 1.
  • Submit the bug report.

If you can respond here when you've submitted the report I can collect your DxDiag.

Thanks,
CCP Solomon.

Just as an additional to CCP Solomon, if you create Bug Reports from within the game using the in game bug reporting tool, it will automatically upload a DxDiag as well as other useful information such as your Settings and recent log file.

I have the same problem on my laptop. My drivers are update but from gathering information on the forums and the net, Eve has gone to a higher lvl requirement on graphic cards.

It seems the same problem as this -> Intel Chip Problems AGAIN!

I can confirm that driver crashes and freezes are getting worse after last patch.. even if im using the old driver specified in that thread that used to help keeping things much smoother.. now with this problem + socket closed bug EVE is totall unplayable for me :(

Well, I set the game run as administrator, and I turn vsyn off (interval immediate) and it seems that the problem is gone for me. Hope it stay that way.
