Hello,

i am trying to get eve to run under the said OS.
I read most threads here, but i think i have a different problem.
Patching went fine, but when i try to start Eve, i get:

fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation (nil) 1 (nil) 0
fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation 0x48b000 0 0x32f31c 4
Network layer using: CarbonIO
Terminating process by request - returning 0

winedbg gives me

err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CCP\\EVE\\bin\\ExeFile.exe" failed, status c0000022
WineDbg starting on pid 0032
couldn't load main module (2)
Process of pid=0032 has terminated
Wine-dbg>

so i guess there's something terribly wrong. Any Ideas?

Did you make sure that you have the correct DDL overrides for the launcher and the client?

Perhaps this is the same issue I am having but I do not see the error messages. I click on the play button and nothing happens, EVE never launches the game client though the launcher loads and checks for updates without issue. Did you ever get past this?

have you checked and done the overrides as told in this thread and more threads in #Linux subforum and in the Winehq Appdb?
