I understand that you want to keep the bookkeeping low (is that even possible for you guys?) and thus 1B per bond seems reasonable. The problem for us on the reserve list was: Four people invested 5B each. Filling 2/3 already. You accepted 10 people and had to turn another 10+ down. I think putting the maximum amount per character around 2B (with either 500m or 1B shares) would have been nice.

It's a general problem with MD investments. Bonds with big names are filled almost instantly.

Thanks for the constructive criticism here. I’ll take it to heart and make adjustments in the future if more bond are needed. It does seem that the last two bonds have steered away from that part of the mission statement in allowing for more investors.

The bookkeeping is not too bad with around ten investors, perhaps it gets easier with more bonds, but it is a bit time consuming with sending out weekly interest payments. My main concern with that is the potential for error, both in missing an investor or typing in a wrong amount; an extra zero (or one less zero) on a payout can be costly. The time needed to do self audits and the double and triple checking everything can become tedious, but is part of the bargain for dealing with public funds.

The bond is fully funded, thank you everyone. The pro-rated interest payment will be sent out on friday at the start of the bond and itnereste payments will be payed the next four Fridays.

I guess I'm not telling you anything new, but the solution for this seems to be very obvious to me:
- Create an in game note with all the investor names of the current bond.
- Link the names and check them once to make sure you have the right ones.
- Write down the payment amount once and copy it.
- Right click the linked investors, "give money" and paste the amount.
- (... profit)

That should give you minimal probabilities for error, with little effort.

The bond has now officially started and a pro-rated interest payment has been sent out to all investors in the amount of 2% for early deposits. RAW23 and Liberty Eternal have had theirs sent directly to VAERT as a donation. All funds have been put to use; station trading is fully funded while the manufacturing arm is at roughly half capacity.

The business plan I generally outlined in TornSoul's 1% ceiling thread (page three) is the plan currently in effect and am happy it is working as designed.

Profits are based on NAV change using ingame mechanics. The ingame mechanics are somewhat sloppy but the items I have in large value amounts have typically been close as well as in continuous movement back into liquid isk. NAV should be within plus or minus five percent. The manufacturing side is getting close to being fully funded with most profits going back into making the process more efficient; sacrificing some profits for time saved. Week one went slightly better than expected; initial profits was projected at 20-23 billion. The ability of the operation for rapid retooling into different areas of production for immediate and targeted sales allowed for returns of certain items from 100% to 150%, and incredibly these margins are still there for a few of the items.

At this time there is no need for further public bonds and this will be the last, at least for the time being.

On to some better news. As investors, both those who got a chance to invest and those who wanted to but missed out, have been a major part in helping to achieve my goals, I’ve done what I can by expressing my thanks to them in previous bonds. My intentions from the start of the bond was to include something extra to them and that will now be made public: 3% of profits will go into a pool that will be distributed to those who have and those who wanted to invest in the last two bonds and expressed so prior to this post by date (no ninja editing as hard copies have been printed!) Each name will receive an equal portion of the pool regardless of amount invested. If anyone would like their share to go to VAERT, please let me know and I will send it directly there in your name.

Please note that payments were sent seconds before the emergency reboot of the game happened so please check to make sure it went through.
