Nah, Rust is just less dense than steel.

Diffferent materials rust different colors. (redish, whitish, and etc)

Why not brownish.

Plenty of things oxidise but rust is iron's thing, and rust is red!

As I asked before in the test server feedback, but got no response: what is the purpose behind doubling the Rifter's size with the Minmatar V3? It is nearly destroyer/cruiser sized now, but still the fastest T1 frigate.

What's the logic behind it, and why was this change needed?

CCP probably forgot to chance the size after making it. If it was intentional they need to raise the sig rad of the ship.

Rust that's been treated with something like this to prevent further rusting?

Plenty of oxygen in space, just not in dense clumps like the atmospheres around planets. P

I'm sure I read that the reason was that on the old model they thought the guns looked too big, and out of proportion to the ship itself... I'd need to go digging to find the quote, though.

No. Show info on the Rifter and go to preview. Instead of the old 60-some meters length, it lists 120 m.

This isn't really a whine. It's still functionally the same, and still a great ship. The guns did have trouble fitting on it in its old small size, and other ship sizes were tweaked as well (Vigil is bigger, Hurricane is bigger, etc) but twice the old size seems like a gross exaggeration.

The subtext of the thread: nobody knows, it's an unexplained change, and trolling is fun. I agree on all counts.

139m for the Rifter/Jag/Wolf. However, oddly enough, the Freki is still listed as 60m.

Yep, they forgot to change the Freki. It's not even V3'd.

I'm loving the new size Rifter, it looks a lot less pathetic floating in my hangar than it used to. Cool
