I see mistakes in calculations

Patchnotes are saying that they rerolled the 10% payment nerf for incursions but actually they did not... they betray the poor incursion runners by 1%

Before the nerf the max payout in high sec was 10.5 Million... they nerfed that down to 9.45m which is 90% of 10.5m.

x * 0.9

now to reroll that nerf this is what they used.

x*1.1

which ends up in a payment of 10.395 million

Here is the correct formula...

(x / 90) * 100

No need to say thanks though.. just fix it.

I'm a programmer and just about failed my Data Structures course. They'll take any burnout these days.

Remember when they settled on the ISK Estimated value destroyed: LP ratio and the Estimated Value formula?

CCP has been shockingly bad at game design since the beginning. It took years to get EVE to the point where it was actually playable to begin with. It's hardly unexpected that they'd fail at simple things like basic math when they never test anything, can't be bothered to fix the bugs that people point out and have legendary levels of unfounded overconfidence in everything they do.

I must admit at times I wonder why CCP hasn't gone out of business, then I see games like star trek online and remember that whilst CCP are pretty shockingly bad, theyre marginally less bad than that. Besides, their heart is in the right place.

CCP's one redeeming feature is that, whilst coming close at times, they have never yet given in to pay to win or theme park MMO rubbish. For me, this where every other space MMO fails.

I think most of the programmers in 1970-2000 were math majors who then retired and now we got people who can't even understand what is a pointer and have to resort to C#, python, etc.

You're lucky CCP wont ever hire me as a Dev. I'm too irrational and take things way too personally. I'd [devmagic] your all your characters and clones to some wormhole without probes, have wormhole entrances pop up continually as a tease and if you manage to slow boat to one, it'd send you back into the same wormhole, Matrix train station style.

Maybe some poor intern was just told "increase payouts by 10%" so he that's exactly what he did. Though if that 105 thousand isk bothers you that much I'll give you it myself if it'll shut you up P
