I haven't given any opinions on any game mechanics. I'm giving an opinion on your conduct- you are making a fool of yourself over and over in thread after thread.

suicide ganking with insurance is an exploit, as you can see from the bans ccp has handed down since worthless pubbies began complaining literally years ago

specifically, the complete lack of them, this makes sense to me because i am teamosil, champion of the lead paint eaters league

It's when a player is able to gain an advantage, or avoid a disadvantage, by using some quirk in the game mechanics in a way it wasn't intended to be used. IMO suicide ganking a cheaper ship in an expensive ship that you've fitted so that the insurance payout will basically alleviate the death penalty is an exploit. Frankly, I don't think it's a huge deal. My point in my post was that insurance should be left as is, except for maybe closing that loophole. If they think that needs to be closed, that would be fine by me, but I would oppose getting rid of insurance across the board, which is what this thread is about..

I was right. In the context of EVE: Online, exploit doesn't mean what you think it means.

Kiddo, again, my post was about that I think we should keep insurance. If CCP wants to close the suicide ganking insurance loophole, that's fine by me, but that's really beside the point of the thread. In my opinion, it is an exploit. If CCP doesn't see it that way, that's fine by me too.

You really need to chill out. You seem to have some kind of insecurity around suicide ganking or something. You're fixating.

What rules? You just mean the TOS? The EULA? If so, that definition certainly doesn't include everything CCP has determined to be an exploit or everything that the player community pretty much all agree to be exploits...

a rule of eve online: if you shoot someone in highsec you lose your ship
an exploit related to this rule: if you save your ship, you used an exploit

a rule of eve online: moon reactors consume input to create output
an exploit related to this rule: a reactor creating ferrogel out of thin air is an exploit

thing that is not a rule in eve online: expensive ships should not be insured to suicide gank cheaper ships
not an exploit: insuring expensive ships to suicide gank cheaper ships

So by "the rules" you just means a list of things you have personally accepted as "how it is supposed to work". Well, not everybody agrees with you on all those. Some folks think that there is a "rule" that you should have to pay for ships you intentionally get blown up yourself. A suicide ganker is basically just scamming insurance to get a free ship so their ganking doesn't cost them anything. In some ways, it's the same thing as creating ferrogel out of thin air. It isn't like there is a right answer and a wrong answer about whether that is an exploit. There are no written rules about how this stuff is intended to work.

I don't have a big problem with suicide ganking. I like that you have to be on your toes even in hi sec. I got suicide ganked once a couple years ago and adapted so it never happened again. But IMO it's sullied by using the insurance system to evade the cost of that choice.
