the man from earth.
it's a really good indy movie. don't look too much into it, otherwise you'll start seeing spoilers to the plot.
general idea is that it's a man that's 14000 years old by a fluke in his genetics and he's talking about his life story. everyone that I've shown it to loved it.
if you've got a few weeks off, I've found it's actually more interesting to watch an entire TV series instead of a movie as there's more to it, and it's generally nicely segmented so you can watch it over a few days.
check back on this post in a little bit, I'll go through my collection ad see any that I would suggest from there.

Moon
attack the block
cargo (this might be hard to find in english, I've only ever found it with english subtitles)
catch me if you can
CBC - the arrow (this one you will probably have to torrent if you weren't already planning to torrent everything [it's a documentary after the fact of the creation of the avro arrrow {if you don't know what this is, google it}])
chaos theory
clear skies 3 (if you haven't already seen it, watch it. if you have seen it, watch it again)
contact
dark city
city of ember
despicable me
event horizon
evil alien conquerors (cheezy as hell, but fun. this is another one you'll probably have to crawl the ******* of the internet to find)
exam
frequently asked questions about time travel
keeping mum
limitless
october sky
pandorum
paul
solaris
spaceballs
sweeny todd
tesla master of lightning
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
The Money Pit
The Onion Movie
Universal remote
The Prestige
tron
tron legacy
unstoppable (the china syndrome style documentary about a train out of control)
wargames
wargames the dead code
another earth
Religulous (not recommended if you are offended by the mocking of religion.)
metal tornado

Does it has to be movies or would you consider a TV series?

HBO's Rome season 1 and 2 would be my pick.

are you thinking of the movie with Adam Sandler in it? that's called click. universal remote is a bit of a clip show that's blatantly abusing their R rating.

Mystery Science Theater 3000's treatment of "Space Mutiny"

Fits very well with the theme of EVE and if MST3K's sense of humor resonates with you, you now have 10 whole seasons of the show (each riffing a different crappy movie) to entertain you.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

dear lord. is that a real movie? I'm just watching the MST3K "review" of it, and it doesn't seem like it would even be possible for something that bad to be made with a straight face.

Space Mutiny is nothing. There are some movies they do that are far far WORSE than that. Rifftrax (The company started by the guys who did MST3K after the show was cancelled) is doing a broadcast of the show's most infamous movie, Manos: The Hands of Fate this fall.

Space Mutiny is bad, but Manos broke one of my high school buddies after watching it for a full week...and that was watching it WITH the MST3k treatment. Watching it on its own...I don't want to think about that.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.
