Amarr is too bright.

Amarr space is too bright. All surfaces of the stations that face the sun are shiny and almost washed out. Sad Maybe that is why I stay in Minmatar space...the rust just doesn't reflect as bad.

Sounds like Tash-Murkon before the change. Derelik and Khanid are the most beautiful regions in New Eden.

What do you expect from a culture that gold-plates everything in sight?

Tch. Amarr space is just fine, no need to make it look rusty.

One of the reasons I moved from minmatar space to Amarr was visuals. The nebulae and the station interiors were a bit too sore on the eyes for my liking back in my original Minmatar home. Amarr stations are as bright and shiny as the nebulae that dot their space and I like that visual contrast. I say visual contrast because 75% of the ships I normally fly are Minmatar , and they contrast so nicely with the smooth and shiny look of the rest of the area.

I agree that it isn't for everyone, but I think that is a good design choice. Each race has nebuale that reflect the general colors and feel of the race that inhabits that area, giving each region of space a unique feel. Just as your portrait options are varied based on which race/ subset you choose, so does your choice in what region of space you live in.

Unlike your portrait, you can easily change what sector of space you primarily operate out of if you get sick of your current surroundings.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

I'd rather light up the sky with Exploding ships and Rainbow LAZORS!!

And now the lighting has been brought up over all and everything looks bad (ie washed out) except Amarr T2 ships and a few T1s.

CCP is the only company that I know of that when we say a few items are too dark, their solution is to brighten everything.
