Anyone having issues with Eve loosing connection shortly after logging in? Basically after logging (for last day) in Eve works fine for a bit but after a while my Internet starts to get really laggy and then eve loses connection (socket closed). If I dont open eve at all my internet has no issues.

I have a feeling this is an issue with my isp COX communication as me and others have had similar issues in the past with cox blocking connection from eve. Anyone else with cox having issues?

This is a MAJOR ISSUE. I have contacted my neighborhood CCP service agent and guess what.. It's my problem to fix. Are you kidding me. Quiet as kept - I have a Real Life job.. These jokers are basically asking me to do there job. I have never seen worse customer service in my life.

Contact ur IP provider and what? Having never had any issues occur like this before since 2008 - why all of the sudden is this occuring. And if your current program cant exist with my computers security firewalls - then wth is going on. This is a serious bug - and I have yet to see serious - we care - on the part of CCP.

Tell u waht - invest in the damn human side of this game - and actually respond to cited issues without a ton of technical mumbo jumbo. I dont understand half of the cryptic bullcrap that i've been asked for ... Its not my profession. Maybe somebody will look into this - and i can actually get something for my 14.95 a month.

Customer Support can only do so much on their end of the board. Use this causes major problems to paying users, but like I said: Customer Support can only do so much.

A Socket is a combination of the user's IP address and a port number (ranges in A LOT of numbers). A socket is created on the server to allow you to enter the game. If this socket is closed, the server has to close the connection, because the server will not be able to understand what the game is sending the server.

So it could be EVE is testing things on the Server side. Give it a few hours or a day and it should be cleared up. But defiantly make a Petition on it and let them know.

Just as a side note, there is already a thread related to this issue you might want to post in.
