if isk is not a problem fly a legion. other options include wolf/jaguar, guardian, abaddon, HAM drake, and some i might have missed.

I should buy an Ishtar.

The character has sp invested in ewar, but only caldari cruiser 4. If you train Caldari cruiser 5, Recon ships 2-4, long range jamming, frequency modulation, and sensor dispersion you will have a ralcon/rook pilot. Also, if you train cruiser 5, heavy missiles 5 and train heavy assault ships from its present 1 to at least 4 you could fly a cerb.

Other than those options it appears the character was specced for legion, with the zealot/sac and curse/pilgrim as more immediate options.

edit- however, if you are new to pvp, i would not get in one of those shiney ships right away. Fly some tech I ewar cruisers, particularly the balckbird. Fly some BCs, Drake and Harby. Those are insurable so they don't result in a total loss. You should ask your corp and alliance mates what they will want you in. Small gangs rarley will reject an ecm boat. And being CFC you could probably fit a bog standard drake whatever they are using these days. Wait til you get a little experience with travel in 0.0 and combat mechanics before you fly the shiney stiuff.

RvB.

It is round the clock, no waiting for CTA's or Rams or enough people to form a fleet.

All the fight none of the wait.

Frigs: Wolf, Retribution, Hound, Purifier, Malediction, Stiletto, Succubus, Slicer, Hookbill (after some weapons training)
Cruiser: Navy Omen, Phantasm, Zealot, Pilgrim, Curse, Arbitrator, Caracal, Blackbird
BC: Harbinger, Oracle, Drake?
BS: every Amarr and Caldari T1 boat, + Nightmare
+ Legion

Everything with T2 weapons.

Lotta fun ships here. If you only know mining, then you know next to nothing about combat mechanics and game mechanics of interest to pilots (aggression timers, gate cloak, bubbles, not losing your pod so easily, using the map+dotlan, dscan, sentry guns, etc.) So I would fly around lowsec/nullsec in one of Wolf Retri Slicer Harbinger Drake. Gain some experience (but also do some reading, listen to podcasts), lose some ships. Even if isk isn't an issue, do prefer to buy a lot of a decently fit ships and then black/red-frog them around for easy reshipping; don't try to fit smaller numbers of ships for optimal embarrassment with deadspace mods that you don't know enough to take advantage of. That goes for your pod, too.

I wouldn't take the Sansha ships or the Legion out of highsec until you've more knowledge about the game, but you can still enjoy flying them in highsec. Nightmares are supposed to be pretty welcome in Incursions.

If you join a corp/alliance, obviously you can get more and better direction from them, but if you want to sort-of-solo for a while yet, then consider FW (lot of frig+cruiser+BC action in lowsec, built-in allies and enemies that you can work with without a lot of commitment, and still opportunities to use your BS skills). People may recommend RvB, but it'll really do the least to get you up to speed on all the game mechanics that you don't know about: for instance, dscan (as critical as your heartbeat in 'real' pvp) is rendered useless, pods (which you want to learn to save) are off-limits, map/dotlan are useless, 1v1s against ships without a point are ridiculous / giant frigate blobs mainly instruct you on KM-whoring. But to leaven that, it is a nice community and you could learn a lot in discussion, and it's also non-commital, so you can join and see for yourself if you'll like it.

You might also enjoy carebearing where the challenge is to avoid PvP. Which is not so bad a skill: if you can avoid fights, then you can also choose fights, and you can not die needlessly to hopeless odds. So you could do the pirate epic arcs in an AF or combat interceptor or faction frig, so you could mission in lowsec or nullsec.

If I had your skills and money, I'd be mainly flying NOmens and Curses and Oracles solo in NPC null, with a Legion for safer scouting/PvE+PvP exploration/logistics-from-Empire.

Fantastic read, great info, I strongly recommend you take a couple of hours out when you have a little downtime, and check it out. He blogs from his beginning all the way until he got established, even giving breakdowns of his encounters.

It may just be the answer you are looking for, it worked wonders for me.

The flight of dragons blog is a fantastic read, Highly recommended. Seeing as youre just starting out i would recommend flying a Navy Slasher in faction war. It can go into the T1 Plexs where it is one of the strongest ships there.

Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
Small Energy Collision Accelerator I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I

Set the orbit for 16.5k and with the MWD on you should orbit at about 19k. Set your "keep at range" for the maximum and spam it if anyone tries to get close then return to orbit so you do not lose point. If you see a Thrasher or Cormorant use the "look at function" to see if its long range fit (You can look up the appearance of the Artillery/Railguns in the market). If they are long range fit just bail. Get a few kills to build up confidence and any losses will be cheap.

Ive been playing for 5-6 years. It's still a good option for me. You need to learn the absolute basics, so either buy a cheap frig and roam around everywhere or join RVB and do that + get easy fights when your bored.

There is no commitment with RVB. Only fun.
