There is an Amarr frigate that is very close. (much closer then the Dram)

Can't think of the name right now.

The daredevil. Similar to the dramiel in shape, but the cockpit fits a bit better and has the cylon eye(s).

Executioner or Imperial Navy Slicer (same model).

Edit: the 'wings' of the Dramiel and Daredevil go down too much to really resemble a cylon raider.

I think you're probaby right, daredevil looks liek a good candidate. Here's all of the candidates

I think it's definitely between the dram and the daredevil.

Yeah I vote daredevil. The dram is close but lacks eyes, and the slicer and executioner are too star-warish.

A while back, sparring with some goon buddies, we decided that a Daredevil with a Firetail's cockpit would be as close as you could possible get using EVE ships.

So the daredevil, but the firetail has the "face".

Executioner. IMO, it projects the overall mood/vibe of the Cyclon Raider even though it lacks the curviness aspect of the Raider/Daredevil/Dramiel.

And, since we're talking about re-imaging, I vote for the new Nemesis model to match the the Original Series Cylon Raider.

That's exactly what I thought when I jumped into mine right after the update, it's a sexy ship now.

Daredevil or Dramiel. The Slicer has a similiar shape, but the first two almost nail it.

Just started Season 4 last night, I like the show. Short of the FTL, everything on the show is so plausible that it could pretty much exist today. That realism goes a long way to help me just enjoy the show without questioning the tech in the back of my head while I watch it.

For my money, hot dropping the Galactica (literally) into the atmosphere of New Caprica and then FTLing out a few hundred feet above the surface of the planet was the absolute best scene of the show yet. That was just crazy!

Great scene but a bad portent. Cylon Raiders and the Colonial Raptors had FTL drives. If the Galactica can FTL into atmosphere, what prevents a small FTL capable ship from jumping right over a city with a nuke? Or into close proximity of a capital ship? There are no planetary or fleet defenses against that kind of capability.
