My alliance is interested in my corp having an IPO of the ship building corp to supplement the bank we have.

I like the look of the BSAC exchange as a good way of them trading the shares following the IPO but ti looks like BSAC would keep all their isk from purchasing shares in escrow and present a risk to them.

Is BSAC a reliable place or should i just use a forum thread to allow them to trade?

Block been around along time with interest in the markets , proven to be trustworthy in my opinion. He is that interested he has made stock market for EVE players to use.

Id suggest talking to him , im sure he would be happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the stockmarket.

I dont know myself the in and outs of how everything works. Also i believe Torn Soul of the BMBE has his business shares listed on there for trading which long standing business in EVE.

Sorry cant be much more help id suggest sending Block evemail convo when you see him on.

Thank you for your interest in listing with us.

The BSAC Stock Exchange acts as a third party to the trades of all shares listed in the exchange. Although we hold the shares in order to trade them in real time, the assets and underlying value of the stock remains with the issuing company. We do not hold any collateral related to the stock, nor do have any power to recover assets related to the issuing corporation. This means that in the event I’m not able to return to the game, the issuing company can simply re-issue its stock.

The only time BSAC will hold a significant portion of the IPO ISK is during the initial launch and during liquidation. During the IPO phase, the CEO can withdraw the ISK daily, thus minimizing any ISK held by the exchange. During liquidation, the CEO can place a fraction of the total ISK required for complete liquidation, again minimizing the ISK held by the exchange. The latest liquidation was held by AATP and has gone smoothly.

The most significant advantage of listing is that shares can be traded in real time. There are no trading fees, and ISK can be withdrawn any time. The only listing requirement is that the business plan is posted in this forum.

DISCLAIMER
The BSAC Stock Exchange has no control over the CEO's actions.
