I think you got it crooked. It has nothing to do with epeen, and has everything to do with giving an accurate battle report. Try and keep up.

whose tears, as far as I know, I haven't had to sd on anyone, only people sd on me. not like I'm losing anything

Trying to think of a nice way of calling you really stupid... nope.

There seems to be 3 points of view:

1. We should be able to get a KM so I can have a record of what happened.
2. We should get a KM because my PEENOR requires it.
3. You shouldn't get a KM because even though I was dumb enough to get caught, I deserve the right to deny a battle-report so that the people who got me have no record of it, but I have no good reason for this other than wanting eve to be stacked in MY favour.

The blowing yourself up bit isn't a battle, the battle was a battle. You SDing was just the easy way out.

Still to hear a good arguement why it shouldn't produce a KM.

People love to pretend that killmails aren't important - they are to a lot of people for a lot of reasons, if they weren't then why the hell would CCP revamp it, and why are eve-kill and battleclinic so popular? Cut the naive BS.

actually.... they do. this one time, i was shooting a defenseless pos. while some guys self destructed 3, maybe 4 caps, a nice fleet of BSs and BCs in their 'main' pos. after the last cap went boom, i stopped shooting the pos and left the wormhole. it felt nice

Just make the SD timer on capitals longer - maybe four minutes instead.

I'd also like to see some kind of ... "report" ... of a SD during a fight, just as a record of what went on. I'd still support SDing as a means of denying the enemy loot, or even denying them additional information like fits, ship worth, etc (though I suppose that'd require considerable work on how the killmails are coded), but I think a basic record of "hey this ship was involved in someway, and then it wasn't :)" should exist in the case of SD

Don't mind that much though overall, I know they're raging on the inside that they had to SD their pretty capital ships
