No storylines

I wanted to get some standings, so started running missions but after a while I realised it didn't seem to be working as expected.

After 31 missions, all same faction and same level, no storyline agent has been in contact with me. The petition I sent is a week old now and still 'Open' - suggesting it isn't at the top of the pile yet.

So I'm wondering if this is a known issue with a known fix and someone here can point me in the right direction to get it sorted out.

For the mission string I started running mixed corps. When I got no storyline I ran single corp until 16 missions were done for them, then single agent until the count there hit 16 too.

Any ideas to get me going again?

Are you running missions for the interbus ? if yes, they got no storyline missions. There must be other corps around who do the same.

are you sure all the agents you ran for were the same level? iirc there is a seperate counter for each agent level (and maybe each type of mission).

I should buy an Ishtar.

I've seen the storyline agent I'm aiming for in her home station )

The missions are all Courier type (Distribution) and all the agents are listed lvl II in my People and Places

Try visiting the storyline agent. They're sometimes bugged and won't send you a notification that they want to speak to you. I had the same problem a little while ago.

Nice idea, wish I'd thought of that sooner.
Took a trip across there but the storyline agent I'm gunning for is showing as 'Unavailable' and there's no entries in the Journal either.

First thought from an experience ages ago is that it might be a tutorial agent who repeatedly hands out missions but doesn't give storylines or a lvl1 cosmos/event agent.

What's the agents name so we can look them up.

Did you run all of the missions through the same agent/corporation? If multiple agents, were they located in different solar systems?

If all the missions were at least through the same corporation, check your standings transactions for the last time you did a Storyline. Count up 16 and see if you ran a mission in a solar system further away. You may have been picked up by a different bugged storyline agent.

Hey guys thanks for the help, I got the answer from my petition today -
turns out the agent I did 16 missions for was an InterBus agent althought the station wasn't InterBus.
On the Agent Tab it just says 'Avaiable to you' with no indication of what corp they belong to... who'd have thunk it??

Gomohr is that what you meant? I didn't realise it was possible to have one corp's agent located in another corp's base.

At least I ought to be up to Mission #15 when I get back, and I've learned something today ))

I didn't realize that either! Thanks for teaching me something.

Yup, that's exactly what i meant. Interbus is the only one 4 faction corp, that's why they got no storyline, so there is no easy way to max up the 4 faction standings at the same time.

It isn't just per agent level, it is per agent. I was alternating 3 different level 2 agents in system, and got two storlines practically back-to-back, and another quickly after.

Also, sometimes the mail is delayed and comes after dt.

Just keep this in mind for next time. I try to do systems with multiple agents because I decline missions a lot.
