Thank you for joining us for a new episode of TNN. We have decided to make this a weekly broadcast, that will air every Thursday. Tonight on TNN, an interview with Murientor Tribes Onnen Mentar on his tribes storied seven years. Also we will be revisiting a story we aired earlier and clarifying some errors we made.

An Interview with Onnen Mentar

Shaounee Huren > Mr Mentar, the Murientor Tribe is coming up on seven years as a fighting force for the people of Matar, can you tell me how your organization came into being?

Onnen Mentar > Well, the Murientor Tribe has been active fighting for years for the Minmatar cause. Then finally 7 years ago we managed to get enough resources together to form our own pod pilot corporation. All of MURIE pod pilots were very inexperienced at the time, so we stayed in Gallente space near Carirgnottin for a bit while building up some vital funds and industrial strength. Then we decided to go and find the mythical Santir of old in Ammatar space. So as I was saying, after the weeks in Gallente space to build up our strength, we just "went for it" and relocated to Ammatar space. The Sazdih constellation. It was there that according to legend Santir was, and we were expecting to find Murientor population enslaved on the planets there still. There were indeed many enslaved, as elsewhere within the Ammatar Mandate, but there was no real proof that they were in fact of Murientor origin as the legends suggested. That said, we did everything we could to free those enchained in the constellation.

Shaounee Huren > Tell me a little bit about your early days, I understand that you have a rather storied history. Also can you shed light on how your group grew from just another of the Minmatar Freedom Fighter Tribe to one of the most galvanizing forces in the cause?

Onnen Mentar > While only recently we're flying officially under the "Defiant" banner, we have always been defiant. This I feel is what has kept the Murientor Tribe corporation going for all these years and what helped us gain the experience needed to outsmart the Amarr and Ammatar.

Shaounee Huren > There have been calls by some in the Republic that appeasement is perhaps the best route to peace and that the empyrean war waged by groups like your is perhaps the greatest threat to peace, that perhaps those left in Amarr should be left to their fate. Can you shed some light as to your thoughts on that?

Onnen Mentar > To those I can only say that an individual sure of his strength and the strength of his Tribe can never be enslaved. He may be enchained, but he will never be a slave. Those who seek appeasement do not truly believe in freedom and are in fact the reason why the Amarr have managed to keep so many of us in chains for so long.

Shaounee Huren > With the Rumored return of Ursha'Khan to fight for Matar and Damu'khande, Autocannons, Late Night Alliance, Electus Matari and so many others, is there any fear that this build up of high profile Freedom fighting groups only proliferates Amarrian resistance to change in their own government?

Onnen Mentar > I am no expert in Amarr politics, but if history has taught us anything, it is that they cannot be trusted to respect other peoples, so force is the only valid option. A long lasting political solution is only possible after the unconditional surrender of the Amarr empire and the complete abolishment of slavery.

Shaounee Huren > Finally I would love to ask, what is in store for the next seven years?

Onnen Mentar > I expect the next 7 years will see us maintain the advantage in the war, ultimately edging us closer to our goal, but no matter what happens, we will always be there to remind the Minmatar Tribes that slavery is a state of mind and freedom comes to those willing to fight for it. To conclude I would just like to thank all warriors who have fought, died and been reborn only to fight again for our people. They keep the soul of what it means to be minmatar alive and lead us towards freedom.

Shaounee Huren > Mr. Mentar, thank you for all that you and your kin do, and keep up the good fight sir.

Onnen Mentar > Thank you. I always welcome an opportunity to stress that being defiant is what breaks the chains.

Clarification on our top story from last week

Last week we reported that a unidentified Minmatar force bearing Nefantar marking and the Paladins of Jamyl Sarum clashed in a Blood Raider colony, in Solaria, the Aridia Region. We reported that the two forces were looking for Chamberlin Korsoth and this seems to now have been an error.

Through sources we have learned that these two forces were NOT looking for the man himself but rather "genetic materials" of that man. We are unsure of if this means clones of the man or some other material nor why this would prompt either the Amarr or Minmatar to launch a full scale raid on the Blood Raiders. What we can be certain of is that representatives of the Sisters of Eve whom are now conducting operations to save lives on that facility are reporting that this was a "scorched earth" raid and there are few survivors.

"It is clear that whatever motivations these two groups had, they accomplished wiping out a colony of three thousand in a space of half an hour and both forces then managed to destroy several Blood Raiders squadrons as they escaped," said Sister Kylia Hasst, Sister Commander in Soliara.

We will keep you apprised of developments on this story if and when we gather any new information.

An Apocrypha delays Minmatar forces securing Halmah

Halmah IV, Devoid Region

An Apocrypha event struck Halmah IV, an Ice Planet, on monday. The Halmah system is currently owned my the Minmatar Republic but is, as of the airing of this report, heavily contested and some fear about to fall to Amarrian Forces. The planet itself is a rich source of biological compounds used in the manufacture of, among other things, nanite injectors used by Minmatar ground forces and is thus of vital importance.

The event took place at 0300 local time and devastated the planets facilities, killing thousands outright working for the various corporations on the planet. The orbital facilities near the planet were destroyed as well, thus making rescue for these workers impossible.

Within three hours the Sisters of Eve were waiting in Rens, pending a cease fire between the Minmatar and the Amarr, to mount a rescue effort for those souls now trapped on Halmah IV. Tribal Liberation issued a general withdrawal order to all forces under the agreement that the 24th Legion would do the same and the Sisters moved into the system to make good its rescue efforts.

Six hours into the rescue operation the 24th Legion poured into the system and began to heavily consist the system in a clear violation of the ceasefire. Thus far Tribal Liberation Forces have NOT responded, apparently holding to the ceasefire.
In my interview with Onnen Mentar, we asked him if he knew of any plans to respond to this threat and he had this to say.

"The Servant Sisters of Eve asked for a ceasefire so that they could do their work free from fear that their rescue vessels would be caught in a crossfire. The TLF agreed to this and we will not break our agreement with them. They do good work across all of New Eden and while we see the acts of the 24th as underhanded, we will not do anything that might threaten the Sisters rescue efforts, our people on Halmah IV's lives but when the Sisters mission is over, there will be a reckoning, I assure you of that."

Barring a concerted counter offensive by Tribal Militia forces, it seems highly likely that Halmah will fall soon and many wonder if the lives of those workers on Halmah IV are worth the potential of losing the system and its medicinal properties.

Final Thoughts

It is clear that we as a Free People face challenges in not only how we deal with our past, but how we move forward into the future. We are often portrayed as a nation of heathens yet our armed forces restraint in Halmah, the strides made by such groups as Murientor Tribe, are a clear message to all, "We are a great people, give us the chance and we will make the difference." Thank you New Eden...and to our fighting forces..."Stay Strong Matar"

A fascinating and informative interview. I look forward to your weekly broadcasts.

Given the effects of an actual CME produced when a wormhole spawns too near a star, or even too near a planet (see Seyllin), this seems dubious to me.

To be clear this was not a full scale wormhole event but rather what DED officials are referring to as a "false start" Apocrypha event. What this actually means is unclear. It could mean that a full scale event may take place in the area soon, or simply be a cosmic "belch". You are however correct Mr. Integer, this was not an actual full scale...system devastating event. In reporting this it seemed prudent to use a more familiar, albeit sensationalized, term.

That being said, with your obvious background in the sciences perhaps you could educate our readers with the actual in's and out's of what this false star versus an actual event we would all be grateful.
