Team Security and average price

Not sure if this can be discussed or if it was an exploit or whatever. If it isn't, can someone elaborate on this? I have zero knowledge of the LP store. Does it mean we can't manipulate LP items?

At downtime today we made an adjustment to the average price of some items in order to curb a situation whereby the average price of an item could be manipulated in order to create a disparity between the value of an item in Isk and its value in Loyalty Point payouts. There will be additional changes in how this system works in the future. We will be monitoring for attempted manipulation of the LP market and will reverse any proceeds deemed to have been obtained through manipulative means. We are watching you. Don’t be That Guy.

Fake edit: Does the ISK price listed in the LP store goes according to the average price in market? Is this what they are talking about? I thought it was a fixed price.

Average price is not the one listed in the LP.
LP prices are fixed(or at least so it seems)
if i had to guess they're talking about either
1)the market average where people manipulate LP goods(causing LP to be worth more than it is)
2)you can also manipulate a price through the additional 'tags' cost.

Either are, or should be, legal. as it's a sandbox.
Unless they're talking about something completely different.

The edge is REALLY hard to see at times but it DOES exist and in this case we were looking at a situation where a new feature created for all of our customers was being virtually curbstomped by five of them
