====================================================================

To the people who are having problems with the API keys.

DO NOT GO TO http://api.eveonline.com - THIS WILL BE DEPRECATED!!!!!

Go to http://support.eveonline.com/api and log into your account.

The lower section where it says "Legacy API keys"... This is to be IGNORED. Don't touch. Delete keys (Unless you have other applications using those). It doesn't exist. these will no longer exist. Asta la Vista. They won't be back. Gone. Terminated.

Use the CREATE API KEY written in CCP Orange at the top right.

You will see a list of check boxes. Check the list of things this key is allowed to expose. For EVEMon, I'd suggest checking them ALL on. Just don't give that API to anything else.

Give the key a descriptive name. This name is ONLY SHOWN ON THIS PAGE. It applies NO WHERE ELSE.

The EXPIRY is set to something like a 24 hour period. Change the date, or turn the NO EXPIRY check on so that this key will ALWAYS be available.

Click the SUBMIT button at the bottom right of the screen.

You will now be returned to the page. AGAIN IGNORE THE BOTTOM PART. Your new key should be at the top of the screen, top of the list. Take the ID number and put that in an application that says KEYID or ID. Copy the Verification Code and put it into your app where it says vCode or Code or Verification Code.

That’s it. That’s all. This isn't that difficult.

Make sure you read it all and follow it step by step and it should work fine.
One last thing, if you get to the create API page and it looks blank, make your browser window wider (or scroll down) and the create API bits should pop up, it seems they are very wide and may not fit on a standard browser width.

Tried to access the page with Opera and Chrome and it kept refreshing and showing me the same login and password fields. Finally tried with Firefox and it did the job.
Hope it helps.
