I would imagine porting EVE to the up and coming line of Microsoft built Windows 8 tablets would be much easier than an android port since it already supports DirectX and the entire Windows API.

Besides, you'll probably provide the only killer app on the MS TabletBig smile

Things are only impossible until they are not.

I love the idea of PvPing against people who are trying to play on a tablet.

as long as it was quick enough to keep up and had a decent sized screen, I would imagine it could actually work since much of what you're doing with the keyboard has a direct relative button on the screen. only big fall back I could see would be locking targets.

Double tap - lock target. Larger rows in OV... Not that hard.

The only thing I could see go wrong here would be the Processer power and Grapichs .. They wouldn't be able to run the game simply.

You clearly haven't seen the specs of the Pro tablet they are releasing...

Actually Win 8 mobile won't even boot without 2 cores available. Its a built in limit microsoft made to force manufacturers to build good hardware.

This tablet might be competitive.

The windows phone is the best I've used, unless you like apps because the app market is terrible for it.

In hindsight my post should have had more psssshhhh

That tablet can already run eve since it has the full version of windows 8, Not the ARM version.

+ The ivy bridge cpu most likely provides enough to run eve on atleast low graphics.

As in completely frying the hardware as it tries to run it?

Yeah because pressing F1 is soooo hard.

The fact that you just press F1 in PvP probably explains why you aren't very good.
