Would make good ratting ships.


Convert Navy versions of Logi ships (Scythe, Augorer, Exequorer, Osprey)

The last thing we need is yet another cruiser hull. There's already T3's, HACs, and pirate cruisers, any of which are more than suitable for ratting. What more do you want?

I'm sure there's some way to outfit a T3 for ratting with tractors...

I could see a Proteus being an excellent one-stop-shop for ratting. Cloak, drones, a couple rails + tractor(s)/salvager(s). Would be ok.

I think the astrometric subsystem has tractor beam range bonus on T3's.

we need to flesh out the destroyer and battlecruiser lineups some more... and then possibly another battleship :3

I support this idea. I'd love to hunt one down and permajam it using a Drake with the wrong kind of ecm.

You could slap a tractor and a salvager on a few HACs pretty easy.

Yeah, the Osprey is fairly under-utilized. Other than a cheap/entry-level Logi bird, there's no reason to ever own one.

TBH, I'd love to see a new Destroyer-sized hull purposed for sweep and clear.

Destroyer skill: Damage and shield/armor resistance bonus.
ORE skill: Tractor range bonus.

Keep the 8 high slots and fit it with 5 turrets/launcher + tractor/salvager.

Only issue is it's use is probably limited to L1 and 2 missions or sub-3 DED complexes.

You havent played with fits then. I have a nullsec proteus ratting platform that with the new drone damage mods can rival a sentry ishtar, has a great tank, and includes the nullified sub for easier travel.

Overall I'd happily put it up against an all in one exploration tengu for nullsec. Of course for straight up ratting Tengu would still be win.

Many of those "least used" hulls are ships for newer pilots. For example the logistics/mining cruisers. They don't need to be replaced with a ship for pilots with high skills. I also tend to like some of these ships!
