Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Just before this most recent daily shutdown for updates, I was in space doing a mission. When the servers went down, I was still in space. After logging back in, I find myself in the middle of a warp that I did not initiate. So I try to warp to the encounter location and it warps me to an empty region of space. Trying to warp to the encounter location again is not possible; the only option it gives is to approach location and that only moves me a couple hundred meters.

I'm sure somebody has experienced this issue before. Does anybody have a quick fix?
