Confirming OP doesnt have a f.ucking clue.

Gunna leave these hint words for him to read, in the hope he cops on:

Super Cap Pilots,
Logistic Pilots,
Mining Pilots,
PVP Pilots,

Also a bit sad creating an alt just for this thread:

Royal Amarr Institute [RIN] from 2012.06.20 05:18 to this day

Real men post with mains, but i guess you wouldnt want people to know how stupid you are.

Also yes, lets cut CCP's income by nearly half.

Just in theory. CCP will remove thousands of alts and what should happen with them? Transfer assets and skill points to your main, that's it and everyone will accept? Split the alts to separate accounts you have to decide to pay for? Just from this pov it's a bad idea for CCP's business and for EVE. Most EVE player would not accept it and it makes anyway no sense.

I agree that alts will be used for many annyoing things but "annyoing things" are an important part of the game. There are a lot of desparate posts with wishs for changes because people can't deal with EVIL-Online, they don't have the creativity to deal with it, they are too lazy to deal with it... so CCP should fix it. I am not talking about investing more time into the game to get rid of issues. I am talking about to use your brain.

I am personally using my alts for posting on the forums Twisted, asset logistics, cyno, scouting etc.. If CCP would remove them I simply would quit the game because EVE is time-consuming and challenging enough. Alts are important to make some things a bit easier. Especially for those ones who are not part of a bigger corp or group. It would be a bad mistake to boost the effort to play EVE or just give the advantage to those alpha-nerds who can afford and willing to pay for 10 accounts because they are looking in EVE for something they don't have in RL.

Anyway... the OP wish will not happen.

Yes. Relying on your corpmates/allies to do it for you. That's horror. But must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends.

CCP have actually said that allowing 3 chars per account was a mistake. They did it because everyone else had that and by the time they realized the problems it created it was too late to do anything about it.

Three characters per account in EVE is like limited amount of lives in a non-arcade game. Old habits die the harder the more nonsensical they are.

Sorry, I wound not support this idea.

I have 2 indy account. Neither alts are for griefing. Heck, unless you come to a pos one couldn't even hurt you. The other has minor drone skills, so beware. What these 2 indy allow me to do is run 20 invention/copy jobs, 20 manufacturing, and 12 planets in pi. All the while I get this main who can focus her training on pvp which I enjoy.

I use my Indies to make isk in a slightly passive manner. I still log into both each day to cycle planets, copy, invent, etc. And I do have to do a fair bit of hauling for supplies. Still, it leaves me free to pvp at other times. Plus, in this manner I get to.complimeny my pvp main by making the ships and modules she uses.

None of this is griefing, none of this bothers anyone. My alts need no more skills for thier given jobs. So why should I be forced to play as you wish? Why should i pay for 3 subscriptions to experience different jobs? Why pay for 2 more accounts that need no additional skills?

As for shadow clones, that sounded like a horrible job and a waste if time. You do realize pirate npc space is hostile and random skills would be fairly useless out there? Sorry, but alts are a part of this games. They allow us to play as we like, so just accept that and move on.

And more importantly how are you going to separate which character is an alt and which isn't or you propose limiting subscriptions to one credit card per subscriber which obviously would work well with PLEX? Roll

The fact that you can only train one of your three characters on an account at the same time is cap enough. Given that EVE allows...nay...encourages multi boxing for some parts of the game, having two other alts that cannot train or be on at the same time as your main is no problem.

The one main abuse of alts... biomassing to get rid of negative sec status, is already explicitly against the rules and monitored by the GMs.

Using them as trading alts, hauling alts, PI alts, or forum sock puppets is all part of EVE.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

The police in my neighbourhood have a hard enough time keeping underage drinkers out of pubs and clubs. The number of fake ids being used is incredible! But that's real people we're talking about. You can identify them and require them to provide identification: and they still get by with fake IDs. How hard is it going to be for a company in Iceland to enforce a rule like this?

While I imagine the virtual world of EVE Online would be rather richer in character given such a restriction, I cannot imagine the pain that would be felt by players and game host alike if we were forced to shed all our alts and multiple accounts.

Can't find people you trust to light cynos for your cap? Don't fly a capital ship. Nothing so hard about that.

Select which of a dozen characters on multiple accounts I want to keep "for real"? Ouch. No thanks.

I didn't read past the first paragraph to be honest, so I'm going to assume your idea is **** and based loosely on something that might be more appropriate in a Dungeons and Dragons setting.

With game mechanics so heavily supporting single character play, alts tend to be used mostly for griefing(i.e. suicide gank/sockpuppet factory), metagame borderline exploits(i.e. join Amarr militia, make Minmatar militia alt and rake in cash/LP or mine on three characters simultaneously inflating the market or move to nullsec and pretend to be hardcore while you spend most of your time doing L4s in hisec alt) and general avoidance of personal consequences/responsibility.

Right.... and how do you know this? Just a wild guess?

So people like me that like to do on one account/char PVP/PVE and on the second account/char Industry are gonna get screwed because you got ganked or griefed?

Horrible idea.

next time you and your alts decide to stack the forums with troll posts you might want to get a little better organization
its pretty silly that the thread about ban alt threads was posted before the ban alts thread Roll

these 2 threads should be deleted and the OPs banned

For perfect 'reality,' 'immersion,' and 'suspension of disbelief' in an MMO world, everybody would have just one character. One entity to play, not 3, 6, or 9 toons to play with. Also, there would be no meta-game. Corps would grow from inside the game only, based on their merits and their abilities to attract members. But instead we have groups (such as members of internet forums) coming in from outside in huge blob corps. So meta-game is soaked into the game-- that's the reality. So meta-gaming is a part of the gameplay, and alts are useful as meta-gaming tools.

I have multiple skilled adn usable characters on all 3 of my accounts. So no. Your idea is actually pretty stupid and achieves nothing anyway, what exactly are you trying to fix?
