Hey everyone, Im returning to the game after a 5 year break, what should I be looking for when purchasing a character for running wormholes with a 2.5b budget?

I'll need something under 10mill SP i'd assume for my budget, and what level of complexes can I expect to run?

Thanks in advance or any information.

lots of options depending on the class and size of gang, but I would aim for a tengu for shield fleets. Or a titan I guess :)

Welcome back to the game. First of all your budget is a bit on the low side,but you should be able to get a drake toon with some skills.
Try get a toon with some ok probingskills,(salvaging,archeology,hacking at lvl 4) and ok shieldtank. You will have a limited ammount of options with your budget. Class 1 and c2`s should be your aim to begin with,and when you get better skills you could try out c3`s,and get skills for a tengu.
Personally i would wait until i had more isk for a bit better toon.

tengu, or as close as possible. any scanning skills are a big pro. its the most versatile ship in wh space

Titan all the way! But failing that a Tengu is best in my opinion. Tengu pilots with 8mil SP can go for about 5 bil if they are focused. So, as mentioned, you will prob only get a basic Drake pilot with 2.5bil for between 4-6mil SP. I'd start in C1's with that kind of set-up. And, again as mentioned, scanning skills are a must. At least all scanning skills to Level-3.
