So i am sitting on a station in low sec and decide to lol rep a fleet mate, and i suddently get blasted by the station guns cause he is -65,000.3.

so being in a tanky ship i decide to wait out the 14 minutes or so repping myself.

14 minutes go by... still being shot at.

20 minutes go by... still being shot at.

30 minutes go by... still being shot at.

40 minutes go by... still being shot at.

Redock and undock immediately, i get shot at.

I think if i stayed here i would get shot at until DT again.

Does CCP hate crim reppers that much?

Newbie here, but my understanding is that when you repair a criminal you get flagged yourself, so you became a criminal, too.

When you started to repair yourself the timer was always reset, because (see above), you repaired a criminal (no matter if this is a corps mate or yourself).

You would have to wait 15 min in station to reset the timer.

As said, that's newbie's 2 cent. ;)

Your engagement never ended, as long as you sit on station getting fired at the timer will never start counting down.
OR should I say every time they fire at you the timer is reset.

Is it that hard to look at the timer in the upper left? Or does the eye-patch get in the way?

Every time the stationary guns shoot at you, the timer is reset.

yeah, timer STARTS when you are LAST SEEN by guns or police

if you never leave their sight your timer never starts counting down

this catches a lot of people who get GCCd and go to a safe to wait out their station lockout timer
after 2 minutes or so they dock up with a visible13 minute timer, problem is its back to 15 minutes because the station guns saw you but the timer never reflects extensions of existing GCC only new GCC

think of it as you are being charged with Aiding a criminal only in the EVE setting this results in ED-209 style justice instead of an arrest.

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

Ever play Grand Theft Auto? Same deal as with 1 star in that game. Ya gotta be out of site from the cops for the countdown.

The funny thing was though is that the GCC counted down to 0 and was replaced with an agression timer that stuck on 14 minutes

This is because the GCC only applies to concord or faction police (afaik) which can only be extended in HS. Or, the GCC reset was invisable.

The aggro timer was because you were being shot at. Every time you got shot at, it reset to 14:59.

ignore the timer, it lies
and station guns are owned by the faction so faction GCC remains in effect until you leave sight of the guns, then and only the can the countdown begin

it will count down to 0 and the invisible timer will keep counting
yes it sucks, but if you know about it you can adjust accordingly

even if you do everything quickly and by the book it still fails

Thanks all, it was in a carrier so no harm done at all anyway :) Thought it was pretty funny tanking their guns for an hour or so while they pecked away at me...
