No, they just forgot to update the forums. Here's the news post announcing the delay:

EVE Online: Inferno 1.1 release delayed
reported by CCP Navigator | 2012-06-18T02:40:00Z

Following testing work over the past weekend for EVE Online: Inferno 1.1, we became aware of issues which would have resulted in a less than optimal game experience for our players. These issues are mostly fallout from code cleanup work we've been working on for the past weeks and caused specific models not to render. We apologize for the lateness of this discovery, this is the unfortunate, but inevitable, cost of continuous development and our constant commitment to improving EVE.

As a result our teams will continue working to resolve these issues so that we can bring you all the features, fixes and changes listed in our patch notes at the earliest possible opportunity.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Yeah, it's the radial menu. The icon has even been grayed out for a while now and picking it does nothing; they're just going to remove the non-working icon from there.

All of the botters i have flagged were up and running business as usual within 1-2 days.

The UI is a complete and utter failure.

The buttons for corp hangar, both in stations and on industrial ships like the Orca, need to be brought back.

The tabbed windows for Orca/station corp hangar need to be brought back.

The ISK value of items in a container is making for TONS of lag because when I open my inventory or a container, I have to wait until it tallies up the value. This needs so badly to be removed, or at least something we can uncheck and disable it.

I've already listed most of the issues with the link in my signature block below.

You people do realize that they kept these retarded, separate windows? You just have to open them via shortcuts.

On a side note, I find the UI so much, much better than the old, unwieldy crap inventory. So thanks for that, CCP! I’m sure you will make it even better in time.

So the wardec changes will go on despite the rather... vocal criticism?

Next time please take the two minutes that it takes to inform yourself on this “issue”. What they will introduce with this patch are clothes which they’ve had already designed in 2011 so there is absolutely no developer time that gets “wasted” as a result of this change. They only waited so long to release them because crybabies like you would have screamed bloody murder had they introduced them back then. Apparently the wait was futile though because it seems like there are still some persistent specimen of your unpleasant kind left.

What do war declarations have to do with clothes? 0-o

Nothing, I’m just an idiot who misread your sentence and thought that you wrote “wardrobe” instead of “wardec” :|

Wow, so much rage in this thread. Gotta say, it's been a hilarious read. I especially enjoy these competitions over who has accrued the most internet spaceship game knowledge.

I do agree that some of the UI features might inconvenience some, but there really is a correct way to make that argument and an easy-to-disregard/comical way.

Minor improvements were made to the Contact Management window, especially for adding pilots to the watchlist.

Does this address the issue that removes pilots from the watchlist when setting personal standings en masse?

Regarding this- is it possible for a new option to sneak in some future patch to let us completely disable the radial menu? I'm sure some folks get some use out of it, but for me it's just a really scary chance to tell my ship to do something I most definitely don't want it to do when I'm trying to pan the view around a little.

(or is there already an option hidden away somewhere? If so, feel free to barrage me with "it's under ___ you moron" messages/mails, but I haven't found such a thing yet)

still hate this UI, and I have meet no one in eve that likes is, everyone in my corp and fellow alliance members hate it as well. logistics takes twice as long now. pos work takes forever now. working with any pos is a complete joke. dealing with a carrier or rorqual in station is stupid and confusing, as me and everyone I talk to keeps mistaking there ships corp hangers with the station corp hangers. and when I click a ship, posmod, or anything I should be able to open that item, but you cant. its like having folders on your desktop that you cant open with out going to "my computer" and then navigating to the folder you want. no one uses windows this way, why is this UI making us use it that way! also with the old way i would opwn a ship hanger or something and have only a fue small windows open, now the UI takes up the entire screen and it verry bulky. improvements to EvE's UI should be natural and user friendly. what we have now is not!

I'm with you - the whole radial menu thing could go away for all I care.

I have never liked them, and the one here in Eve just seems thrown in because other games at the time had one. There's little justification for it, nor does it seem to follow any sort of plan or theme in the UI. It's just there.

Ahh yes .... like there is even a choice.

We've been forced to use it even though it's totally lacking in usability and functionality. I still have the YouTube buffering circle thing when loading up my assets in a station while it computes ISK values that quite frankly aren't accurate and are therefore completely useless. Features from the previous don't work (i.e., double clicking to board a ship) are now considered "flaws" and have been removed. Mining with Orca support is a bloody nightmare due to the sheer number of windows one must now have open all the time, or having to re-open/close them all while running a mining op because you can't stack the open windows and have tabs. The idea to integrate everything into a single window is now so cumbersome to use, you have to know the "Secret Squirrel Shortcut Keys" that aren't documented.

Said the 3 month old player, who barely knows ALL features or advantages of the old non-unified UI. Roll

Doubleclick -> Two Windows -> Drag & Drop -> Job Done!
(Without any waiting for loading all items or this sh!tty useless estimated price, which is not a quarter usefull because it is horrible wrong) Blink

It seems that CCP is only able to sell this crapsh!t of UI as improvement to new players. New players who do not know how usefull the last "hundreds of windows" UI was.
Especially that no one (except of one clumsy Developer) had ever open all available windows at once. Lol

It is amazing that CCP was able to develop a usefull UI nine years back. Because this chunk of code we have now is not useable and fails in the beginning.

- one window
- estimated prices which you can NEVER EVER use but produces lag
- tree view
- mysterious hidden shortcuts now - where mouseclicks always where enough
- missing right click options
- fail fail fail

First of all people it may be rough at first ,but until the game goes to a multithreaded client and server model one of the best ways to save on system process time is to go to treed windows. While this may be cumbersome and a bit buggy it will help with server processing time. As for the whole botting thing I say just mark the accounts publicly as botters and confiscate all the goods and ISK. Botter gets no gold and customer gets no ore and you still get at least the sub fee from the botter til they realize what is happening. Scam the botters it will make them foam at the mouth. What is it they do to rabid dogs, I forget. Big smile
