So my first month of eve is over (still have 3 weeks because of 21 day trial) and I must say I'm addicted to this game. I have not experienced the road bumps that is basically the advertising for this game and I guess I can count myself lucky. The learning curve has not been that steep for me as I have my corpmates to thank for answering all my noobish questions. In my first month I have
-joined a corp
-made 400mil station trading
-gone into a c2 wormhole with a corp before subsequently being tossed back out.

.........yeah that's about it. Will be moving to nullsec soon where the real fun is so definitely will be resubscribing. Congratulations CCP, eve online playerbase +1.

Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a pretty strong start. I was playing a lot longer than you before I ever saw 400 million.

I converted somebody into an Eve player yesterday. It left a terrible taste in my mouth and I felt like a bad person afterwards.

Welcome, i hope you enjoy this game as much as i have over the years.

Lol, i remember when my wife sayd he see tv document about virtual worlds and there was this eve online also mentioned... that it might interested me...

One thing lead to another... I downloaded trial and in two days i was hooked and subbed :P Been active subscriber ever since.

Only few ocasions i have seriously considered unsubbing, those ocasions are mainly ccp messing things up seriously...

PS. best part is, she cant complain my gametime, since this was her idea ;)

Welcome to Eve!

And don't worry.. the griblies will bite at some point. but you did exactly what people SHOULD do in this game.

Join a corp, learn from the veterans, and see what you can do. above all, have fun!

This isn't a game where you have to jump thorugh hoops and get a cookie, this is a game where you have to make your own cookies, and a big fat hammer to hit anyone in the face who wants to try and steal your cookie ( or looks wrongly at it.. or has an even shienier cookie and a smaller hammer.. )

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Once upon a time there was this neutral dude chilling in his bomber around the station and then got pop/pod because NBSI is not a joke. Lol

My 4 weeks in - saved enough to buy a Vexor... new players have it way too easy nowdays Lol

Wouldn't trade it for anything though.

To be fair though, another very nice player gave me 50 mil when he saw I was having trouble getting started.

You did it right, joining a corp makes the world worthwhile.

Having been on our various New Player Experience teams and am, currently, sitting comfy in our Player Experience team (aptly named Team Pony Express) I just wanted to drop by and highlight the important parts of your expereience. All datamining supports the notion that players who join player corps on during their initial experience with EVE stick to the game. It's why we put a tax on the NPC corps, it's why we created the recruiting tools, it's what we're currently looking at trying to ensure people do.

So, welcome to EVE! You're now a glorious contribution to my statistics! I will try and refrain from using your contribution to make up lies. Big smile

Sorry, this is completely off-topic, but holy crap that is an amazing team name.

Ahh, sometimes I wish I worked at CCP. Where I work we get called wonderfully playful names like "Team A", or "Team B".
