Low Sec aggression mechanics question...

If i am facing a fleet with mixed security status i.e. some above -5 and some below -5. If i open fire on the pirates can the whole gang aggress me or will the sentry guns intervene?

They will get GCC and draw sentry agro if they shoot you.

Please do bare in mind they will understand this and potentially be looking for you to aggress so you can't jump gates or dock.

If they are in a fleet together, they will simply just blap you. Have sense and check if they have any connection. My own corp has -10s up to plus 2.

This however is just common sense. Though the amount of times you get people shooting you while you have 30 friendies with you is amazing.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

Tracking is about relative movement between ships, not low slot modules.


If they are taking sentry fire I would take the fight every time, you are free too choose not to.

you have to bear in mind that when agressing a target, it can fire back without interference of sentry guns.

Let me sum this up.

You can shoot at the Red frigates in your battleship. If the Yellow frigates shoot at your battleship the sentry guns will shoot at them, killing them quickly. Though some AFs can tanks sentry guns for a good bit.

IF however, the yellow frigates who are not agressed, choose to dock...reship...then undock in their own big bad evil ships...you will have 60sec to figure out if you can deagro or not...

If you are going to play these games, I suggest a neut Domi with a healthy amount of light drones. Personally, I would rather stab myself in the ear than play station games.

P.S. 10 Frigs can kill most BSs...but a proper neut Domi is a terrible terrible choice of target for a frig gang...
